I dislike these goofy outfits. Not enough to stop other people using them, but I wish I could toggle an option for them to default to something more plain on my screen. I even felt like the singleplayer threw funny gameplay moments out at a less than tasteful rate. The previous numbered games got it right.

Personally, I don't like them. But only in the way that I wouldn't ever bother buying them, I prefer actual tactical military related gear and not military swim suits. So I don't care if people use them or buy them, it just makes them a lot easier to find, and it's not doing me any harm, so why should I care what other people want to wear?

look at it this way- theyre just operatives who infiltrated through the sea or ocean or whatever. The swimsuits do have military looking belts and pouches etc. It is fanservice, yes. Guess its supposed to help the online game survive, cause it didnt really sell like gta games. Im not wearing the swimsuits myself, but dont have a problem with them

I find the swimsuit extremely amusing, those jiggle physics and crap, certainly not worse than running around with the big asss croc hat that tells every enemy that you are there, that's just lame lol, for enforcers it make sense.

If it bothers you then don't play it or play with friends. The swimsuit has been a part of metal gear online since well the first Metal Gear Online however it was restricted mainly to females but now with more "open" sexuality most companies have started to created it for both genders in both types either extremely revealing or your body suit type swimwear.

Does it destroy the immersion of MGO...no because there is too much goofy stuff from the start such as stuff animals, futon devices and before sexy mags (MGO/MGO2) and the love box (Peace Walker).

To be honest try to adapt to it, there is so much going on that the only time you really get to really examine the other player's outfit is when the match is over or someone has you in a hold trying to get information before cutting your throat open. The reason why I say adapt is because more companies are going in this direction examples

Dragon Dogma - Has online pawns that you can recruit from other players, a lot have them wearing bikinis and male loincloths.

Final Fantasy Online - Like Micro Bikinis? Well you will enjoy that 1 out of every 5/10 players you bump into will likley have it on...and this is mixed both genders can wear the small bikini swimsuit.

Tera and Guild wars has male and female revealing outfits and both are extremely common. And etc. People want customization options whether you like it or not isn't the main point, the main point is allowing anyone to customize their character the way they see fit and having it open to any gender. So get used to it or stick with singleplayer games...just watch out for secret outfits...some can be quite revealing..

They're fine if anyhting I'd like them to make items seperate like MGO2
Be nice if it had Head, Torso, Lower Body. Each section allowed for mass customization I could say have a Beanie + Headset + Facepaint + Eyewear + Bandana/half mask etc equipped all on your characters head & torso & lower body was no different, could go topless, chose knee pads, gloves, lower/ upper armor.
The customization in this is fine but I wish it had more & had the whole body in seperate parts not just one BDU.
