Any DLC costumes actually worth getting?
Generally not a DLC buyer, especially when they're just costumes, but my love for MGS might override this. Are any of them actually worth getting, in terms of how they affect gameplay?

They don't. They're exactly that, costumes. The ingame developed outfits trump them in every way but looks.

Appreciate the reply, that's exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks Zeph.

Nothing new to gameplay you can't already do with in-game items, but some points:

The Sneaking Suit DLC is good for Snake, (and personally I like the design better than some of the other sneak suits).

The Boss DLC suit is good for females, and of course the tux looks snazzy on battlefield.

I don't use horse DLC at all.

I'd just get the entire package though. It'll set you back by a little bit.

no its not pay2win stuff, these costumes are just cosmetic replacements. I got some of them just for the looks. The Boss's white sneaking suit looks especially amazing in-game, and im not talking about the boobs, its just beautiful overall

Only The Sneaking Suit and only if you don't have SS from GZ.
And it's gonna be only for shorter develop time of LVL 8 SS (2 days and grade 8 good only for FOB's).
It has the same stats as the ingame SS (but LVL 8 has 10 days of develop time).
So no.

Nah. Only if you manage to sell some cards during the winter sale and get 1€ out of it, then just pick one you like. I might save up for the MGS3 SE fatigues, because i like Snake Eater.

I say the Sneaking Suits are fine, they're useful at least, but nothing to lose sleep over. The tuxedo is pretty sharp too but just for the looks, it's a shame it was DLC instead of being unlockable like it's always been in previous MGS.

It's more worth importing a Ground Zeroes save for the GZ sneaking suit. It's the cheapest to deploy.

Honestly, I didn't feel too guilty giving five extra dollars to Konami because I liked all the outfits, and really like them. The MGS3 SE Fatigues are personally really great, and offer great camoflauge in a wide number of places, and obvious nostalgia. The sneaking suits both look and work great too. The D-Horse costumes you might find a bit unused if you don't use him often, but they do like nice as well

For FOB's, no reason to use anything but Squares or the new Old Rose camo. On defence, Battle Dress is obvious.

In Africa, Woodland, Animal, or the new Woodland Fleck have no rival.

In Afghanistan, Desert Fox or Tiger Stripe.

The costumes are beaten out by normal ingame counterparts. Dont talk yourself into believing they're anything more than cosmetics.

While I certainly wouldn't want the game to be p2w, having suits that are side grades wouldn't hurt.
