right so i am new to all this lore but if big boss is ishmael and venom snake is perfect a clone (but not biological clone) of big boss does he take the role as big boss and if so were was big boss during ?

The original Big Boss, Naked Snake, was recovering and building Outer Heaven in South Africa. Venom, after the events of MGSV, moved to Outer Heaven and was killed by Solid Snake in Metal Gear for the MSX. This is how Big Boss faked his death and later appeared in the series; Venom died, Naked didn't.

ok the problem with this series is its foundation is literally sand, each game that come out recons the lore that came before, bad writing and moral relativism plague this series. Your dealing a sophomore level of philosophy here, with as much depth as a dry puddle. just turn your brain off to the plot in this game and enjoy the brilliant game play.

You mean the torso slab that was incinerated by Liquid Ocelot in Guns of the Patriots?
That was Solidus Snake.

In the events of Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, Snake does burn Big Boss at Zanzibar land "killing him".

so the first time Big Boss faked his death it was really venom who died and when the alleged body/slab of "Big Boss" was burned by liquid in guns of patriots it was actually solidus snake

The real big boss died in Metal Gear Solid 4 at the end of the game due to the new fox die, there was numbers of endings for metal gear solid 4 that one was choosing to due the team not agreeing with Hideo about Solid Snake and Hal turning them selfs in and to be killed.

wait so what snake lives the longest because at the end of mgs 4 big boss and i think solid meet and one of them gets infected and dies of the virus right? was it solid who dies last

In metal gear solid 4 ending Big Boss gets infected by Solid Snake Fox Die then dies Solid Snake lives retires from fighting and baby sits olga child.

Solid Snake was injected in Metal Gear Solid 4 with a new fox die program created to kill ocelot eva and Big Boss, that the reason why those 3 died.

It did kill afew of his blood line Eva Big Boss Liquid Snake everyone else wasn't related to snake like Decoy octapuss Baker ocelot , I think that everone who died from Fox Die, the guy in metal gear solid 2 died of a heart attack due to his pacemaker,

Also I doubt Zero wanted to kill Snake cause after the ground zero's event Zero saved Big Boss and ask ocelot to protect him at the same time Zero got really sick due to skullface making him sick, also if he wanted to kill snake he would have done it there at the hospital while snake was in a coma, he had 9 years to kill snake and he didn't take it .
