How to disable FOB.

I recently unlocked the FOB stuff and honestly its not that great. I bought the game for singleplayer as its a singleplayer focused game. How can I completely disable everything thats FOB? Because just ignoring it won't do as I will just get messages about getting attacked.

anyway, why you are "scared" of fob ? There not much ppl playing fob anymore, you won't get raided every 5minutes, I playd when the game came out and even then I didn't had much issues with it

FOB isn't that bad. It's way faster to get GMP and resources by FOB infiltration than in single player. What I always do is raid low level security challenge FOBs, always press G to check if the player is offline or hasn't played MGSV in awhile. Then go raid away without fear of retaliation.

You can disable FOB and all online stuff completely by disconnecting, but the game will be hella less fun and you'll need to focus more on farming resources in SP.

don play this game then, go play call of duty or something more simple, every resource you get, money and material are for research new weapons, you can play the whole game only whit the gear you start

Honestly, if you don't want to farm then you ought to do FOBs. Playing online gives you significant advantages, and FOBs on top of that make research funds and materials easy to acquire.

I strongly recommend just upgrading your FOB settings to be more secure if you're having issues and then just leave it to do its work.

Once you unlock FOB, you will always be at a risk of being attacked. The best thing about your situation is that, the lower you are on the leaderboard and the less tempting your base is to inavde in terms of resources and staff.

So, I doubt you will get invaded very often. If you do, most likely you will lose about 100k online GMP, which you can regain doing just about any side-op. You will also lose 10 staff, but you can easily make that back as well. Furthermore, make sure to put any important or high ranking soldiers on direct contract so that, if you do lose some staff it won't be anyone important.

challenge tasks are a recent addition, they werent there in the vanilla game

I dont know if its different on PC but on consoles they have changed how GMP and resources work. There are now 2 types of each. Offline which you gain from single player missions and online which you gain from the FOBs you have. When your FOB is raided, you only loose GMP and resources from the online catagories. So aside from soldiers, you no longer risk loosing the stuff you work for in single player. Keep in mind that if you turn off the online, you will loose access to the online resources and GMP. So in essence, you can ignore the fob stuff, get a small amount if stuff from it, and if its raided, you loose nothing. I think this is probably the best instance of compromise ive seen in a game in a very long time.

no need to farm to complete the singleplayer story, an assault rifle, a snipe rifle , zzz pistol and a missile launcher lvl 3 or 4 is all you need. You can get this only doing main missions.
