S++ legendary soldiers vs Snake stats.
Hi, can anyone here confirm the advantage of using S+ or S++ soldier over Snake with fully upgraded prosthetic arm? because you get even lower multiplier in fob invasion (below x0.89), that means they are somehow tougher? I assuming that soldiers with S++ in combat skill have more health and can withstand a tiny little bit more damage comparing with Snake with prosthetic arm? And does a soldier with S or higher in intel perk marks enemy faster etc, I tested both and haven't notice anything different.

Intel S marks some useless info on your screen, other stats have some minor bonuses. But overall, it's never worth it when Snake has fully upgraded his passive arm abilities. His arm always tops the stats.

Kinda agreed with this, I also heard about staff being able to wear helmet and it does indeed provide a tiny little bit of head health which reduce headshot damage etc, which is something Snake character lacking at, is this true?

it's all explained in the tips screen if you press escape. Base development marks cameras automatically for you, medical makes drugs last longer, support makes you fulton stuff faster, intel marks faster if I remember right, combat makes you take more damage before dying.

Espionnage points are pretty pointless imo, especially with the top players mostly being hackers.

The very best soldier you can get your hands on are edited and have a 2.00 multiplier and prosthetic modifier which makes them run faster, longer reflex, etc.

While I can't be sure, I think snake might also have more health than your average soldier, even when they have the toughness talent.

Aside from that, even provided you have NO passive upgrades for Snake? No combat unit soldier will have the running punch Snake has, without the "Savage" Skill.

WITH the Arm upgrades, or passive upgrades and a Rocket Punch, then Snake is just flat out superior to even S++ in everything soldiers in practicality. Regardless of your pentazmin lasting a few seconds longer, etc. You can't compete with having every single relevant passive talent a rando soldier has at the same time, as well as unique powerful tricks like the Sonar, rocket punch, etc.

Plus I don't think any of the Combat Unit soldiers can wear the bandannas? As for headshots protection, that's not really A Thing in single player. But I could imagine it being useful for invasions.

That is, if the player worn armored mask actually works well as the one worn by FOB soldiers. I wouldn't be surprised if something an FOB soldier would be protected by, still hits you full force.

Comparing main game to FOB antics is a very different question anyways, really.

Interesting, been playing for so long didn't pay attention to this little details. I don't actually care about espg point though, but when hitting the highest security fob I would want to bring the best soldier and didn't want to ended up dying and regret. Going to test out my staff with S++ in combat and S+ in medical perk, see if noctocyanin will noticable last longer, I actually relying on those.

The only enemies that are capable of headshotting you are snipers, so if you're invading a sniperfest FOB AND are dumb enough to actually get headshotted, maybe it could be remotely useful.

I hit security challenge very often, some defender managed to one-shot me with rifles and completely disregard my grade 7 battle dress. If staff member could take a few shots to the head, yes I'll prefer combat staff over Snake in that situation.

Bandana description says lower occurence of serious injury, maybe headshots.

Thought the critical injury slow-mo only occurs in single player as far as I could tell, over 800 invasions and 80% consisting of run and gun and never happen once lol.

The helmet will only protect you from a single shot which will break the plating after which it's open game on a headshot.I've popped the plating many times as I defended, you will hear the sound of it splitting at any distance.

The bandana does exactly what the helmets do.

Great info, I only have like 30 defenses and almost all of them using Snake so I couldn't tell. So the conclusion, staff member with SP helmet will have extra head health compare with Snake? wondering I can take one shot from MRS-71 sniper with helmet lol. The rest of the balaclavas does the same thing?

A little bit disappointed though, I do hope staff member do have little bit of an edge over Snake, tired of using Snake all the time lol.

While a S++ staff member with a specific skill might be slightly better at it than Snake, his arm upgrades puts him in a league over everyone else because he has access to all of those skills.

Snake will always be the superior choice in FOBs, but the best players use regular staff members.

all those things apply from S+ and above (marking cameras and such)
combat also determines mobility, E rank moves like a slug

prosthetic arm has some boosts over Venom's A++, and he is like S+ soldier on some things, for me S++ feels better, they run very fast

I use S++ and not Snake, prosthetic arm is no worth it
