METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Which version of The Man Who Sold the World do you prefer?
So, I assume most of you know or can tell, but the version of The Man Who Sold the World played in the opening of the game is performed by Midge Ure, and it's a remix of the original written by David Bowie.

Which version do you think works best for the game? I think waking up to the Midge Ure version was great, and really set the tone. Listening to David Bowie's version, I don't think it would have worked as well.

What do you guys think?

there is a plot reason for not choosing the original one.

as you know David Bowie has an album called Diamond Dogs, but the point was to use alternative, just like Venom was alternative to Big Boss

Nirvana´s version is the best :D. I think both versions are great like you said they got different tones. The opening was great with Migde Ure but i think later in the game Bowie´s or Nirvana´s version whould be better :VSnake:

Hm, I didn't know Nirvana covered it too. Pretty good! I do think that David Bowie's original would have been good symbolically for the credits of mission 46, because it gave the message that we're our own man, not some copy.

I like bowies..but I absolutely love the music in Midge Ures version then the original sound from bowies, Ures just has a much more interesting sound/tone to it.

Although, not really.

Konami just didn't manage to get the rights for Bowie's version.

I've listened the original version by Bowie before I played the game. But the moment I heard the opening theme, I had a totally different feeling. It's a brilliant remake.
