METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Doubled footsteps/walking noise
Anyone else is experiencing sometime very loud walking sound? Doesn't matter if i'm crouching or running normally. It sounds like the game loaded up the sound twice and plays it both in the same time. And it even makes the soldiers hear it in much bigger distance. Even in rain and while crouching. So is this crap intended? It doesn't make sense.

I gotta say, I love how you respond on every "problem" thread with that one line. Haha.

Well, kinda a default answer.
"Do you have the minimum system specs? Have you modified any files? Are your drivers up to date?" etc

I am serious though. Usually I always give the default answer. And mods are a thing you know.
Did you do anything specific ingame?
Try restarting your computer, one guy had a few issues that were resolved after restarting his computer

I don't think he's a troll, I just happened to notice while browsing the forums he's been using stock questions in a couple of threads. He does seem to offer some pointers on how to fix things.

I think he's cool, then again I'm high as a kite on pain meds. Probbaly spent more time proof reading this post than actually typing, haha.

Whatever. Let's see where we will get. I'm not using any mods and all my drivers are up to date. And i am experiencing this issue for a long time already, so restarting PC is really not an option. It happens just sometime. Not always. And usually only right after i lend on the map. Then it gets normal after i CQC soldier for example. That probably resets the walking sound. So what's next?

I will now try to tell you as polite as i can that i am not computer noob and if i thought the problem could be those things you mentioned, i wouldn't be even asking here before i tried those options.

People sometimes forget basic stuff, and that is kinda comum in forums.
What camo are you using? Did you change it?
Also, do you use headphones?
Honestly, I can't see whats the problem just from text, so the only thing I can do is ask those default questions.

Audio problems can crop up rather quickly and sometimes go away just as fast. I'ma suggest verifying files. If you've already done so, disregard that. Another suggestion is to mess around with audio settings via control panel.

Sorry if I'm not being helpful.

I thought i said i am experiencing this issue for a long time already. Do you think i am using the same camo for all that time?
I'm not using headphones.
I am uploading new video to my No IU, S rank challenge. It will be in this thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/287700/discussions/0/492379439680700089/#p5
The video is now processing on youtube. You will see the problem in that video.

Well, I use the same camo all the time (sneaking suit, and battle dress when needed)
I'll check the video.
Did you try putting headphones then? Maybe it's an error that the sound is out of sync between the sound boxes (Dunno whats its called. It's either that or speakers.)

Then how do you explain that the doubled walking sound has actually effect on gameplay as well? Soldiers can hear me coming as if i was sprinting to them, even though i'm crouching and even in rain. Well i said it before. You did read it, right?

Yes, I'm explaining the reason for the double sound, not for the effect on gameplay. That gameplay effect thing I have no idea.

Weight will affect the volume of footsteps. They are categorized from heavy to light in ranks D to S. What rank is your loadout?
