[MGO] Explaining my 2 billion score & rank 1

Ok, so since MGO community looks to be so butthurt over a meaningless score (can someone please show me one, just a one game with a legit "leaderboard"?) I've decided to do some clarification.

First of all, I do NOT consider boosting the same as cheating (especially when it's just about a bunch of colors and cosmetics) and WILL continue to support modded XP lobbies and help people boost their XP. So that's out of question, if you're gonna cry over me giving people free colors, go ahead and cry me a river.

Now on to the topic of my meanginless leaderboards score, it was an accident at first and I tried to fix it but failed. Before I explain that "accident", I wanna say that I do NOT support "cheating" (as in infinite health, aimbot, etc.) and have NEVER "cheated" in an online (or offline) game. And I certaintly do NOT encourage cheating in MGO.

So I was helping friends boost their XPs (most of them were over ascension 1 already anyway) to unlock new colors and stuff and was handing out my XP mod like candy to people (which I admit was a mistake). Somewhere along the line, one of my friend's SCORE got "boosted" instead of his XP (not gonna explain how for obvious reasons). Ever since then, he was desperately trying to "fix" (read: reduce/reset) his XP back to normal since he doesn't like cheating (if you could call it that, which you can't) either.

Since it's impossible to reduce your score after it's done, I figured maybe I could "reset" it by overflowing the datatype holding the score. So I went ahead and "gained" more score than a signed 32-bit integer can hold, thinking it would go to negative and then I can add it up until it's 0 again.

Well technically it did work, only on my personal stats though which is now negative. I overlooked the fact that server score (used in leadboards) wouldn't be the same as personal stat. Obviously, that didn't work for my server score. Instead, it put me on spot one with 2 billion positive points (I intended for it to be negative). That's how I got on Cloak & Dagger rank 1.

Then, I figured. Hell, one's already messed up why not go for all 3? And I just went ahead and did it for all scores (hoping konami would remove all 3 in the maintenance, but they didn't).

Not that anyone cares what I have to say (I wouldn't if I were you) but I'll say it anyway in case I need to quote myself in the future.

Bottomline is, I'd gladly have my score removed from leaderboards (permanently) but since konami doesn't care (or bother to respond at all, do they even have a support??) it's not my fault that it STAYS there at the top.

tl;dr: I don't support cheating in any video game but I don't consider boosting the same as cheating. I boosted my XP to unlock colors, helped a few others do the same (and will continute to do the same). Friend's C&D score got accidentally boosted in the proccess, I tried to overflow the integer back to negative (and then add it up to zero) but that didn't work. I ended up with 2 billion on C&D, went ahead and boosted my other 2 scores to 2 billion to get konami's attention. I hoped konami would remove all 3 in the maintenance, but they didn't. I want my score permanently removed from leaderboards.

If u cant do the time, dont do the crime.. If u cant spend time working for what u want then u just dont deserve it.. Using any kind of mod in any game competitively or not.. is a bannable offense IMO. What about the people who work their azzess off for what they want.. in a way youre encouraging people to use mods to get what they want faster... competitively or not..

It's just a game though and it's not really a "crime" per se. It's an advantage sure, but cheating? Guess you've never played an MMO before.

Ive played WoW from vanilla... and i know about other mmos where u can macro your way up and pay to win schemes... which is the reason i dont support those games..

You just admitted to handing out a third party code to people to illegitimately boost their scores.
And you think thats fine?

Do you know what GTA5 And rockstar are doing to people who made mods and handed those out to people / Who used the mods to technically destroy multiplayer?
Thats right, they are getting Banned from Online activity. Some have their rockstar accounts suspended.

MGSV FOB scoreboard is corrupt couse 5 people decided to hack their way into peoples bases with scores around billions. They have rendered FOB gameplay technically useless, as you have made MGO scoreboard useless with your 'mod'.

'Mod' which i will call a cheat.

Ahh, okay. Well, then you've seen how bad it can get. I'm not saying XP boosting in MGSV:TPP is innocent in comparison. It's just nowhere near the kind of exploits that go on day and day out in other games.

RIght.. but how often do people try somethin... then think... "why dont i try doin this as well?" its a pattern of behaviour... like drugs for example... when u try sumthin new... and like it.. ull go for sumthin more..

You got me there. I can't disagree with that logic. Once you go down that path, it's hard not to be tempted to do it again.

It is cheating. You exploit the memory limit to gain XP/Score points that you normally wouldn't be able to achieve.

imo you can be 1st on lb i dnt care, since you dnt cheat like tp aimbot ls or mao it dsn't have any impact on the game, so you guys if you think you can be 1st on lb, and on a legit way, do it, even if you top 3 you know you didnt used mods to xp boost so what.. :)
