Keyboard/Mouse Support?

Just bought this game today. Started it and discovered what appears to be no support for a mouse and keyboard. Someone please tell me that I'm wrong and that I just don't know how to do it. In the settings, all I see is support for a controller, which I don't have and absolutely hate.

If this is true, I'll be returning the game and getting my money back.

Also, is there a user manual of some kind for this game? I've looked all over the place with Google searches, but can't find anything.

TIA for any advice or thoughts.

Thanks for the comment. How do I get it to recognize the keyboard and mouse as the default controller? That's where I'm stumped. In the settings menu, all it does is show a game controller with button assignments.

No clue mate, do you have/had any controller pluged in recently?

I kinda want more detail, but of course since it's a PC game you can use Mouse + keyboard, When you push ENTER something happen at the title screen ?

No, I don't have a controller as I said earlier. I started the game anyway and it recognizes the keyboard without any problem, but there's no on-screen mouse cursor and the settings have to use arrow keys to move around the screen. It also recognizes the mouse when I move it from side to side or up and down. Maybe that's normal, but it strikes me as being strange. Right now I'm still in the long boring cut scenes at the beginning. I'll persevere and see what happens when my character actually does something beside crawl around on the floor.

Do you think the mouse will work normally once I get past the cut scenes? I'm thinking about things like using weapons.

Not sure I understand your questions. All I can say is when I pick the option to use a controller, which it actually calls something else, I get a game controller and there's nothing else. Even in game, I'm getting a game controller icon in the upper right corner of the game when it wants me to do something. This is the strangest game I've ever seen. I'll keep on trucking until I'm through all the boring cut scene stuff and am actually playing the game.

You can't rebind the keyboard (normaly) and for controlers icons when you have to do stuff I don't know, I have the PC icones when I have to do some actions. Don't play too much with settings, also you'll never see your mouse so you'll have to nabidate with the arrows and sometimes you can use the mouse wheel.

Thanks for all the input. Once I got to the point where I found the first weapon, it suddently makes sense and the mouse is working fine for firing weapons. Guess I just needed to be more patient. The graphics in this game are amazing, among the best I've ever seen. I think the game has a lot of promise. I just need to get the manual from the web site so I can set everything up properly. I played this game way back many years ago when I had a PS3. This game sure is nothing like it.

The game will automatically input both mouse and keyboards granted that both are compatible with you PC. I use my controller for ground insertions and when I used a chopper gunner or FOB missions i use my mouse/key. I can switch between both inputs whenever I want and the game will detect which mode you are using. Only thing i cannot do is use a joystick to move and a mouse to shoot simultaneously

K/M works fine (except menu's). Only thing missing is a control overlay of K/M, the menu only displays controller setup.

Yes, of course. I have a Logitech G19 gaming keyboard and G700s mouse. When I install a game, I create a profile for it, which includes keyboard and mouse commands that I want to use in the game. It's good to know that the game will support a controller at the same time. I can see the benefit of that.

Yes, I found that out when I first started the game. Because I only saw a controller, but no keyboard or mouse in the setup, I got confused. It made me think that I had to use a controller, which is not the case.

How do you configure anything in the game ? graphics keyboard etc. where is the manual for bindings.

to all still playing,on a mouse and keyboard. Is the bug still there where your character will still run in the direction you pressed, even if you let go of the key?

That really annnoyed me before and stopped playing because of it happened more often and annoying. Did they finally patched that or is it still an annoyance?
