How do you simply lie prone

Without diving forward. Sometimes you simly want to get lower and better hidden. Instead of diving out and divulging your position.

I use a 360 controller and it's mapped to Y after I've been prone for a few seconds.

Thank you for that tip. I did not even realize you get totally flat like that. I was referring however to when you are crouched and just want to get prone without any forward movement. I did infact figure out what I was doing wrong. X is a dive to a prone position which is what I was doing..A is just to get prone without any forward movement.

Whatever button you have for crouch, but you need to hold it down for about a half second.
