Plus on MGSV you can always ask for more supplies (bring more suppressors) via helicopter.
Suppressors work by witholding a bit of the gas produced, or slowing its release. As you can imagine, this can wear the internals down. Besides, it's not the supressor is detaching, it's that it is breaking. This is to make you learn how to control your fire. I just wish we could select the firing modes like we could in Snake Eater, at least as far as the M16 and AK-47 were concerned.
Grade 1 supressor lasts for 15 rounds, grade 2 lasts for 30, and grade 3 ones last for 60 rounds. I just wish we could carry multiple supressors.
yeah, i would liked to have the same feature from MGS 3, along with facecamo, but in the bright side of life, if you dont play on Fobs, Quiet would largely provides you with free supplies after a recon ,so , in the end, you can replace the now useless supressor. or get the burkov HS.
Are you referring to the abiliy to carry multiple suppressors or the ability to select firing mode? I am not a fan of full auto. Even if I were able to get my hands on a real M16, I would rarely use full auto.
in game it's a balance feature, makes you use bullets bit more economic and also forces you to be accurate
once you get to G3 suppressor you can fire 74 shots I think before it falls off. If you bring 3 weapons with you you can pretty much take entire map silently.
also in real life, suppressors don't suppress the noise that much, it still sounds like a hammer punch and is noticeable, in game you can fire 2m away from someone and they won't hear, even suppressed shotgun which is a bit redundantt
Why? Sure in real life it may be easier to control, but without any kind of recoil its really easy to pull of single shots, bursts of any count, or full auto in videogames.
Fun fact, in real life, suppressors should actually increase the impulse of the kick from a weapon, since more gas is diverted to cycling the gun instead of exiting the muzzle, at least in something with a gas tube. (I'm not sure about pistols)
You'd need to find a Vietnam-era M16 if you're looking for automatic.
