Disable horns
Is it possible to disable the horn on the top of your head?

No, unless you play as one of your combat units.
(though you could probably find a mod that removes it on nexus)

Here's a mod that removes the horn[www.nexusmods.com], among other things, for Big Boss.

Here's one that changes the horn to a Beret[www.nexusmods.com] for the Avatar.

With mods yes. The only mods I have for the game are two appearance mods but this is stuff that should be in the main game anyway. This is what my avatar looks like:

Look through Nexus.

Can you get rid of the horn in a legitimate way?
I built a nuke to get the Deterrence achievement, then dismantled it immediately for the Disarmament achievement and I got a longer horn now.
It's not as big as full-on demon snake version and I don't have blood, but overall it's noticeable.
So, anything I can do to either quickly or gradually revert it back to standard size?

Totally agree. Subsistence loadout, weapon drop, Miller STFU and pretty much everything IH mod has to offer should be in the base game.

Fultoning children from the ''White Mamba'' mission and ''Aim True, Ye vengeful'' should easily remove any demon points you've gotten.
