METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Stuck after mission 44.
So i did the mission where i murdered all my infected staff and now i have no new missions or side ops. How am i supposed to beat the game now? (BTW i spared quiet but does that have anything to do with beating the game?)

The only thing that would prevent this is having the butterfly emblem in your personal logo. By doing so, Quiet will never initiate mission 45, and you'll never see the "true end".

IIRC, to unlock 45 and 46, you need to have maximum bonding lvl with Quiet, and have the scientist exiled from MB. Do you have Side op 150 available? If so, do that one. Once you finish it, mission 45 should begin.
Unlocking mission 46 will require a bit more work, you might wanna google for a guide for that. It basically requires completing every mission, every side op with a yellow mark and upgrading MB as much as possible.
And, and I hope I am recalling this correctly, if you are using the butterfly emblem, switch to another one, as that one blocks the later missions having to do with Quiet.
Hope this helps!

I think you misunderstood the question.. Btw if you kill her, you can just replay clocked in silence lots of times (think it was like 9-12 times) and then you'll get her anyway
i got stuck too at this point. you need to do any mission, BUT not one of those with cutscenes after (like Clocked or Shinning Lights). try doing that where you rescue the arm prothesis engineer.

That is not true, the butterfly emblem is not the only way, After you lose Quiet you can replay the mission where you get her, replay it 7 times and it should be renamed to something else (Reunion, I think) Do that, and you get Quiet back.

@Migulao: I didn't say you couldn't get her back, but if you have the butterfly emblem in your logo, she will never leave mother base, meaning mission 45 will never pop, meaning you'll never get the "true" ending. After that though, you just simply reapply the butterfly then redo mission 11 "Cloaked in Silence" 7 times over to get her back.

@Olenose: I didn't misunderstand, He just did mission 44, I was explaining that the obvious cause of mission 45 not appearing was most likely because of the butterfly emblem in the logo. When I did 44, 45 popped immediately for me. (And quite unexpectedly too, I might add, since back then there was no way for me to retrieve her, I was heartbroken, lol!)

When Side Op 150 end, you will go straight to mission 45. You won't be able to prepare yourselft between them. When you start side op 150, I suggest that you bring the combat suit, a grenade launcher, your best rocket launcher and some mines.

I never unlocked side op 150.... also what happens if you kill quiet? does the game not have a ending or is there an alternative ending?

You have to play side op 150 to play mission 45 (A Quiet Exit). The side op 150 tells you to secure Quiet, but at the end, the mission 45 will start automatically.
If you kill Quiet, you just don't get all the content involving Quiet.

If you want, you can skip mission 45. You will still be able to finish the game by completing mission 46. With this last mission, you will learn about the truth which doesn't involve Quiet at all. You would just not get the ending of Quiet's story.

I finally did it. This mission 45 is making me sucidal. This is the most terrible mission ive ever seen in a video game. First of all you cant go back to ACC and change your loadout so the only way to do this is to quit the game and return back. Secondly you have to unload your entire supply of rockets just to get rid of 1 tank and then request a ammo drop and repeat for EVERY single tank. Then if your screwed you call air support just to get it destroyed by a attack helicopter. And quiet becoming suicidal all of sudden just tops this mission off.

Also you die so easily even with battle armor on its not even funny. I guess ill have to restart the mission all over again and develop more RPGS or something because all my RPGS suck.

TLDR Mission 45 is awful.

You could sneak to the tanks and fulton them, therefore not getting spotted and getting them in one hit. You could also airdrop in the armored suit and stuff.

I feel like this is punishment for not developing better RPGS. Fultoning tanks is impossible without getting brutally murdered by other tanks and soldiers even with an armored suit. Ill keep trying to kill them with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ potato launcher and see if i can win.
