Still, if mods are considered cheats, then at least they should give us online dispatch missions for headhunting S++ ranks. I don't care if it takes twice as long compared to S+ dispatches, it's still better than the tedium of grinding events or staring at PF points trickling down so you can finally spend them on S++ staff after several weeks of being matched with people whose durability is rated at 50k while their defense/offense is at 2-3 million because they used a trainer that gives you 500k of every gun, plant, resource and tank/APC, then proceeded to ditch the game while their presence remains.

Anywho, I just had a go with the serval. And, well, it's quite satisfying, really.
It's not as ez mode as CGM, but it's amusing to rail the skulls through the rocks they put up for defense, only to shoot them once more and tell them bye bye.
Ridiculous stats on the Molotok, but those requirements are totally not worth it. It's laughable. I'll stick with my modified Serval.
Hmm, kinda
If you did shower, you have higher max health (instead of higher HP regen), slightly longer duration (not sure how much on FOB with anti-reflex research)
Oh, and once when I didn't shower, there's a guard mention they smell something bad when I got close in like 5m-10m, and proceed to check it out lol (Only happened once for me, oddly)
This in Mind, I played over 800 Hours now and only managed to develop only one Grade 9 Weapon. And this only because they accidentally lowered the Dev Costs to the ground for a few Days (Mirazh).
I simply dont want to grind, and grind, and grind one FOB after another. Thats not what I want to fill my Freetime with. Playing Games should be Fun, not like Work.
They also add higher-grade weapons at complete random. Like with the May update, they added *8 Serval and *9 MRS, etc. I have no idea about what to expect next and when. None of the newly added uncustomizable weapons are in any of my loadouts. I simply don't use them. As for all the *9 versions of old weapons, there's no point in developing them other than to expect some new useful parts from *10, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
My hands are itching to install the S++ mod, but I don't want to get banned.
On top of that, I only heard about two nexusmods users getting b&, no one else. So other than the mod, they must have done something astronomically stupid to get konami's attention and consequently get isolated/soft-banned.
And I say soft-banned rather loosely, because they both reported that they get error 10014 on any interaction with server-side things, like FOBs or online-only items. So rather than having their steam accounts blacklisted from playing the game completely, they're unable to go online.
Such is life. As for me, 2 months later and I'm still eagerly waiting to get my hands on the T5 Fulton RPG. soon™
Only three months left to wait, if they're going to add it the way they did it with December 2015 updates.
Those were a few good days. I, too, have quite a few S++ & S+ in my staff (though not as many as some of the heavy-FOB-grinders, with over 2,000 legit S++/S+), and I'm still a long way off from reaching even Lv. 120 on any platform (my Support is the highest, at Lv. 117). So having a *9 weapon available to develop (AND deploy for a mere 7,000 GMP!) was sweet.
That's the main reason why I moved on from this game. I check-in every 4 days or so, just to mess around a bit in story missions or during some FOB-related stuff (mainly Events, maybe an infiltration or two). I don't mind grinding, I like doing that in RPGs and all that, but here it is very unrewarding and not worth it.
Why suppressed even? There's no reward for that. All I'm saying is that the rocketlauncher reward is disproportionally lower than the Grade 5 reward, which you're apparently not interrested in. With the multiplier you're looking at either ~16700 with T5 gear or ~12300 event points for missing it, for the same amount of time spent. Silent or not doesn't matter, the skulls in the FOB mission are absolutely brain dead and they stay in the same spot. You just walk back and forth between cover during a reload whilst they keep staring at the wall. That's how I did it though. Using the strat in this thread would make it even easier whilst also getting the T5 reward. Sorry if I kind of seem pushy, but it seems bizarre that someone would choose a lesser reward for the same work, especially when it's so easy.
That's over 400k points total and, quite frankly, I'm thoroughly sick of this event now. Sure, I got my spoils, like GMP and the coveted S++ staff.
But that's it, I'm tired of it right now. It takes almost the same amount of time to deploy to that mission as it takes to complete it.
I am virtually puking event points right now, I need a rehab
- MGSV is my favorite game (maybe of all time)
- I don't love the grind, but I like the grind
- FOB Events are crucial for S+ and S++ gathering since you need those for High Grade items
- Dancing With Tears in my Eyes is so good
- Proxximo's Skull Attack method works
But you wanna go as light as possible for Skulls?? Try this:
- Custom Grade 5 rifle (G44, Un-Arc, etc)
- Grade 2 Tranq Gun
- Grade 5 Falkenberg Rocket Launcher (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY)
- Your favorite fob Camo Fatigues (i love [old rose] and [parasite mist])
METHOD:
-- Deploy and Immediatly Tranq/Fulton 3 puppet soldiers
-- Rocket Lauch 1 puppet soldier
-- Run to Heli Pad and wait for Skulls to Appear
-- Mark as many Skulls as you can and then FIRE ROCKET LAUNCHER at marked Skull
-- They will all bunch together in front of you
-- FIRE ROCKETS at Skulls while avoiding their gunfire, crystalized rock timebombs, etc...
-- If all goes well, I usually complete Skulls Event at around the 22-21 minute mark
good luck.
