jk I do play the game on the console, but I had the same problem on some other game. Same thing: freezing on some point. I suggest you to change some things about graphics, like lower it down a bit or something.
The same thing that happened to me (and many others) was about Sacred Gold. You should check the reviews and find something useful.
I'd change res if i could but it wont let me cause i cant fewt past konami screen lol i have tried changing through files but i dont think it changed and i shouldn't have to cause that was the res it was working on before hand and trieed opening through mgo first to get to tpp that way but that just crashes instamtly if you can tell me a more effective way to change res I'll try it but I think i did it the only way It'd let me
the game always ran smooth for me as well

note that these are my settings, those are pretty high for your laptop but if you manage to get pass loading screen you can edit it.
I use Notepad++ for editing cause in some cases Notepad can mess things up for some reason I forgot
important - change resolution values to your laptop's native resolution
I have no idea will this work but it is easy and fast to try
it a no go I even tried changing t to window mode to see if it work with lower res and nothing changed file has no effect
