(SPOILERS) Venom Snake and Raiden

It's interesting just how similar Venom Snake is to Raiden.

Similarly to Venom Snake, Raiden was trained to be another Snake (he even briefly wore the title before receiveing the codename "Raiden" due to terrorist cell's leader calling himself Solidus Snake). Not to mention that just like Big Boss created Venom Snake, his son Solidus Snake created Raiden. But the similarities don't just end there.

Venom Snake with his cybernetic arm could be considered to be a cyborg, like Raiden is. And like Venom Snake, Raiden has lost his arm (on several occasions, actually). Not to mention that Raiden also lost an eye and had to wear an eyepatch for a period of time. And like MGSV had demon themes, Raiden was called the "White Devil" when he was young.

Raiden also has a few similarities with Big Boss himself. Big Boss's real name is John and an often used nickname for Johns is "Jack" which was Raiden's real name. And like Big Boss had to defeat his mentor Boss in a duel, Raiden had to defeat his mentor Solidus Snake in a duel. And in both duels, when Big Boss fought against Boss, they both used guns and CQC while in Raiden's duel, both he and Solidus used swords.

And last but not least, Boss's legacy was carried out wrongly by others, Solidus Snake's legacy too was carried out by others (in Metal Gear Rising).

- Venom kicked Huey (so Otacon father) but Raiden respected Otacon, but Venom admirred Big Boss while Raiden admired Solid Snake.

Big Boss did.

Quiet has an extremely heavyhanded romance subplot. If she wasn't an idiot and got a few mixtapes to speak with like Jacket from Payday 2 she and Venom probably would have shared a box.

Raiden and Venom hid the truth, something similar but different from lying. Both came out with it in the end.

- Raiden as been played like a damn fiddle when Venom played everyone like a fiddle

Venom was Naked's fiddle.

- Venom played the role Big boss gave him while Raiden fullfilled his role Cypher/zero/patriots/philosopher/Trump gave him

Well he was in a coma as a decoy while Big Boss created Foxhound so in those 9 years Big Boss had time to do what he wanted but the question is what did Raiden do after the war and before the mission zam ?

Well, he clearly agreed to it all. Zero didn't ask him to go to create Outer Heaven, Big Boss simply made use of Venom.

I don't know who Sunny is but I guess it's a character in MGS4 or in his own game zam. So there is 3 MGS game I never played so far but I can't buy all of them and Raiden wannabe devil may cry is not for me zam.

Most of the topic is based on Venom Snake and Raiden similarities zam. Also I said Venom never defeated his mentor because Big Boss and Raiden did it zam, since the topic is about Venom Snake and Raiden having a lot of similarities with Big Boss Aka a mentor story close to Big Boss story it just means that Venom Snake does not that part of the story because if he had to defeat Big Boss then he would have failed his mission zam. That would be pretty cool if we had an alternate story where Kaz and Venom Snake went and attacked Outer heaven with Solid Snake zam, you could fight Liquid Snake and Big Boss but Liquid would join Big Boss just so he can earn the right to kill Big Boss with his own hands and prove that he his superior to his brother zam. Oh and Ocelot would join Big Boss just to balance things so imagine if you could play both sides and in a multiplayer game you could choose a side between Naked Snake AKA Big Boss and Venom Snake zam. That would sell pretty well and at least it would not kill the story since it wouldn't be canon at all zam.

Sunny is the daughter of Olga from MGS2, appears as Hal's adopted daughter in MGS4 where he's keeping her safe from the Patriots and somehow rewrites Naomi's virus to be better, and goes on a date with some other kid in the ending, and then reappears in MGR as a super scientist at the age of 10, loans Raiden a super jet so he can get to the final boss fight, dates some kid Raiden cut in half who's working for her, and steps on Dog-Shaped Robot Buddy's tail.
