Bans save or account based?

So I was stupid enough to use mods while online and got softbanned, meaning I can only attack FOB's if other people who are softbanned and I am barred from weekly PF battles. This doesn't really bother me since it was deserved and I don't play FOB's that much anyways so I wouldn't mind being in the same pool of actual cheaters.

I've been playing with the thought of starting a new save to experience the game again so was wondering if bans are account or save based? If by slim chance they are save based, might want to also develop my FOB's and such, but won't bother if the ban stays.

Well you can't attack legit player unless it's a retaliation or nuke owner and you won't get PF points for soldiers and ressources but who cares since cheaters can have maximum ressources and a base full of S++ thatwon't do a thing since PF is deactivated for them zam.

If I was soft banned I wouldn't care and cheat since there is no other punishement coming unless they would ban me from the game forever or something zam.

Well I guess you could technically call it cheating since the mod in question was so that S++ soldiers appear on the field. Didn't feel like paying Konami for fourth fob just to develop some items. I already had to do that on my PS4. Sure, I could have waited for few months so that I would've gotten enough MB coins from daily rewards, but eh, being soft banned is not really that bad.

Also, did you totally miss the part where I said the ban was deserved? Or did the keyboard warrior blood in you start boiling before reading the whole thing?

Not entirely true. You can attack security challenge users as well. Also, I still have access to daily PF battles, but not weekly.

Oh, so now Konami's dealing with modders/cheaters. About freaking time.

I was gonna consider trying out hilarious model swaps and maybe the Infinite Heaven mod, and even though I'm not into FOBs (waste of time IMO), I kinda don't want to get softbanned in case I want to get into the multiplayer someday.

Anyways, it's very likely that you got softbanned account-wise, so redoing your save won't make a difference. Besides, developing all the non-online items (1* to 6*) isn't too difficult without an FOB, though you might have to do some farming to unlock some of the 6* weapons/items.

That's probably the case, but I personally wouldn't risk using any kind of mod at all, regardless of whether they affect the online multiplayer or not.

I'm not sure if people who use cheats that don't affect the online materials (ex. aimbotters, infinite health/ammo, etc.) can or will get banned, but if they become unable to play with legit players, being visible on the leaderboards isn't a big deal.

Well I mostly prefer to assume a person is young when they act angry and hostile instead of just an ahole. Ecvuse me for assuming wrong.

Honestly, if people would get as angry about more serious issues than having an unfair advantage in a single player experience (I don't really do FOB's besides the AI events and when I do, I kill myself when a defender appears) the world would be a better place.

The problem is that multiplayer and online components are tied to the single player experience. So whenenver you mod in S++ soldiers and tons of resources, you're getting the upper hand in an unfair way when it comes to short and weekly leagues.

I understand that you didn't mod your game to get the upper hand on purpose, but the effect is still there, you're still affecting the overall online experience in a negative way.
