Mission 31 ending?

So I just finished mission 31, and right now im seeing credits?
Is that it?! Is that honestly the end of the game?
Nothing got explained, Skull Face died and then that flying looking kid gave that green stuff to Eli. Then what? I looked and it says that there are 50 missions. But why am I seeing credits?

This game honestly is so damn confusing. Are there more core story missions? Or did I just see the final ending?

I will probably buy them sooner or later. But the gameplay in mgs3 just looks, boring and confusing like hell.

You'll learn where do the boy's powers come from and what makes the burning man pursue you in V, you just don't get the closure for one and the backstory for other, those are in other games.

I know lots of people hate the story (and I agree the quality of the storytelling is bad), but I love the conslusion.. The story in this game is a perfect ending to Big Boss's entire story arc in MGS

but it isnt the big bosses story arc at all!

His story doesn't end in MGS V.

I liked MGS V ending. The story continues in the first Metal Gear (1987). When the world powers was scared of Big Boss and Outer Heaven, the CIA told Fox Hound to deal with them. The leader of Fox Hound, Big Boss, who was underdover, sent Gray Fox to do this mission. Before being imprisoned, Gray Fox the following message : "Metal Gear...". Big Boss then sent a audio casette to Venom Snake to reveal the truth and to thank him. He, then, tells Venom Snake to take the lead of Outer Heaven while he was underdover in Fox Hound. To reassure the US governement, Big Boss sent one his clone to infiltrate Outer Heaven. He wanted him to report false informations by manipulating him. He thought that he could do that because he was less experimented than him. The mission was called Operation Intrude N313. In the game, after talking to Gray Fox, you (Solid Snake) you will have to destroy the Metal Gear. While on your way, you will receive strange and contradictory messages from Big Boss. He even tells you that the mission is cancelled. After destroying Metal Gear, you will fight Big Boss and kill him. But, at the end of the game, there is a plot twist and you learn that Big Boss is still alive. In reality, you killed Venom Snake who claimed to be the leader of Outer Heaven.

Yes, I know his story continue after MGSV ;) It was bad choice of words from my side. I mean't that the story in MGSV concluded his story arc, even tho its set in the middle of his story arc.

And yes i know the whole story, you kill Naked Snake in Metal Gear 2, but his body is healed and he is kept in some sort of coma until the end of MGS4 where he dies for good of old age

To explain it short, all mission up to mission 31 is chapter 1. Chapter 2s story contains all mission without the double ones; they are just there to have a harder challange. Then you have hidden events and cutscenes and hidden missions you trigger when you doing special things. The core of the 2nd chapter is all what the player is doing, all the jobs of the diamond dogs daily life.

Is chapter 2 even good? So far i've only done one mission, I think it was 33

At least go on Youtube and seach for "mgsv true ending" if you give up on act 2 ;)
