Please 'spoil' it. The 'story' in this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of explosions, mechs and nonsense anyway.
Yeah, definitely new. Welcome to Metal Gear Solid.
Not gonna deny it. I'm new. First and probably last MGS I'll play.
The story in this one is definitely a low point in the series, but in terms of confusion and nonsense it's got nothing on trying to play MGS4 with zero prior knowledge of the series.
I'm going to argue that the story in V is the highpoint of the series till the day I die.
Yeah, to see more nonsensical characters like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Miller, Quiet who never stops humming, Diamond-Dog/Horse/Walker/Toaster/Dildo, 'Punished "Venom" Snake' like thats a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ name who can magically grow the shrapnel embedded in his head, bulding a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ zoo in the middle of the ocean because that makes absolute perfect sense, just like when the burning man chases you out of the hospital on a fire-unicorn-pegasus while you shoot him with a shotgun.
At least Skyrim has the balls to tell you 'its nonsense, because magic'.
All those are explained though...
Fair enough. I did like the story, but it just feels like it's missing something to me.
Why are you comparing it to Skyrim? Just declaring "because magic" doesn't mean Skyrim has balls, that's actually a pretty lazy writing in my eyes.
And yeah, as Salvo Wolf mentioned, all the weird ass ♥♥♥♥ in this has an explanation.
Its like that on purpose... hence Phantom Pain... Good example is not having a set goal after you 'get revenge'
