Wear on metal or concrete surfaces to blend in, making it harder for the enemy to spot you.
The actual color is irrelevant only the description matters. For example, the ones i like are:
[Old Rose], [Desert Sand], [Squares], [Steel Grey]...etc. If you wear the Sneaking Suit you will get spotted a lot easier on FOB than if your wear FOB appropriate camo.
Steel Grey vs. defender
Yeah, I always use FOB camo for FOBs since ghosting is so much fun!
or Battle Dress, you can still stealth the FOB and survive if ♥♥♥♥ goes down... my favorite
If you're talking about the class/grade ranges -- S++,S+,A,B,C,D,E -- the reaction times for movement and attack are increased as you go higher in class/grades. I think the spotting sightline and distance detect range remains the same for all classes/grades but the higher ones will investigate and call CP for 'soft alerts' but the lower ones will not. The higher ones really move faster than the lower ones on Combat Alert.
And as for sight/distance detect range, the snipers (like when you select long range when deciding your FOB defense options) can spot across 2 or 3 platforms, while the others close range, medium range only affect the type of weapons your soldiers are equipped with (shotguns & assault rifles, respectively). Hope this info helps!
Are you sure? I feel like they detect me much earlier than with "regular" Camo.
well, in my experience [Steel Grey] and [Old Rose] provide the same camo index, it's just that one is dark grey and the other pink. i mean, the colors do matter since it's your choice which color to choose (everybody has their favorites). not everyone likes [Grass] so there is a lot of variety like [Ambush] or [Dark Leaf Fleck] etc... But the description matters most, since you don't wanna get caught wearing a camo for red dirt ala [Golden Tiger] on a FOB run...
i haven't got that one but from googling it, the Black Ocelot camo is the best nighttime camo since it is the ONLY nighttime camo! there aren't any other camos with that description. lol
