Long story short guys, Konami obiviously didn't think this one through. I submitted a ticket a couple days before this came out asking about this issue. They didn't answer my question of course. Soooo basically this is only available to people who haven't bought the game yet already and for people who are willing to make a separate acct. just to buy the Definitive edition of the game........ nice

Konami is Konami and Konami is the worst. I wasn't going to buy the Definitive Edition to begin with but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over people who made this their first version is BS. Afterall the Definitive Edition doesn't have all the DLC. It only has all the horse armor, MGS 3 clothing, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tuxedo, MGO DLC and nothing more. Not like all those weapons and camo you need mods to unlock would be wanted by default right?

I have 100 percented both you magnificant genius. You can't dive off small ledges or boxes in GZ, rolling is way too slow, menus are poorly laid out (Which is why the fixed it in TPP) and certain effects like motion blur can't be turned off unlike in TPP in addition to the game's FPS not being uncappable.

You forgot to say that when you crouch in MGS: GZ soldiers can still see you from a very good range but ok I guess you made the game zam.

Yep that sums it up. So people who haven't bought the game yet get the day one dlc (Black Ocelot, Shields, extra guns) and the people who bought the game when it first came out can't.

I didn't get that stuff and I did get it day one. Black Ocelot isn't the only exclusive missing.

If you look at this video, it lets you play GZ first before going into TPP on PS4 and it all loads in 1 app.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=843F4dWDeTI

The game starts you right off asking if you want to start at the prologue (GZ). Once you load into GZ, you can play it as normal but you can also choose TPP from within the GZ menu (just like MGO in the TPP menu). Once you're within TPP, you can boot up GZ from the main menu (it's right above MGO). The GZ Save Data Upload/Download is also removed from both games.

And what's your point you're trying to make with that? We already know this, and THAT is the problem here because THAT doesn't happen on the PC version of the DE like you are showing there in the first place.

When did I say it wasn't a problem?

Well, the thing is you didn't say anything at all, you just posted that video from the PS4 version, so what we get from your post is that you think that we think that happens to the PC version when in fact it doesn't.

Maybe if you weren't so hostile and on your toes, you would see I actually did say something. Within this thread, some people still don't understand what it actually does on console. Some people think it's separate apps on one disc, some people think it's just "choose GZ or TPP like MGS HD collection". I was simply posting the video and explaining the actual differences between what we have (non-DE version) and what PS4 has (the actual DE version we should have).

Okay. Just seemed like you were ready for an argument when I first posted lol.

Yeah, still, most PC games don't do this, even when bundled together. You can buy the Left 4 Dead "bundle pack" but it's still just two separate games. I don't think this is a "problem."

The thing is, Left for Dead 1 is self contained game, a prequel to Left for Dead 2 which is it's sequel and another self contained game, Ground Zeroes is part of The Phantom Pain, the both together completes the MGSV experience, meaning part 1 plus part 2 equals to 1 complete game. In my mind that's not the same thing. This would be solved by adding GZ on TPP's menu, done.

This is true, but even though Ground Zeroes is a Prologue, it's still technically its own game. It may be short, but it's still "complete" on its own. You still have to launch GZ in the DE on PS4. You can't just jump into the GZ missions from the TPP menu, you have to select the GZ option. I guess if you wanted something that wasn't a self-contained experience to compare it to, then Mass Effect 1 & 2 can also be bought in a bundle, but are still two separate applications.
