Collector's edition Camos?

Hey, im trying to work out a bit of a mystery. Ive always wanted the four dlc camos, black ocelot, grey urban, blue urban, and apd. but i was always frustrated that they were console exclusive, or at least i thought they were, apparently they snuck their way onto pc in some versions? is it possible to get them at all? is there an unlocker? are they in the "definitive edition"? i can get a DE code for like 7 bucks but what happens if i try to redeem it on my current steam account?

no absolutely not. Even if you own xb edition already and bought the PC version via steam with the same account, you don't get your console-only dlc. The only way is to cheat. Be aware back in the early days, it was reporte that several people got online banned for enabling this so it was stopped early. Nowadays who knows, I doubt anyone at konami cares, just don't mess with the microtransactions for MB Coins and it's all good. It's still not a good idea to use cheats on FOB if you like being online, cause who knows when they'll suddenly decide to care again? But things like texture packs I can't imagine anyone cares. Still, your decision.

Anyway, there are texture replacers if you truly cannot fathom living another day without a costume change, perhaps something like https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearsolidvtpp/mods/244 ?

edit: my info is a couple years old so I wanted to verify that it was still the same, as far as I can see, it is... sorry. But hey at least there's mods.

I never even knew these outfits were exclusive in any way. I bought this game in 2019 (with all dlc, so it's technically "definitive edition", but I don't think that'd be relevant) on steam and never had a console. I never even modded this game? I'm kinda confused now.

Buy the Definitive Edition, that's how I got the bonuses, including the DLC camos.

you are actually completely incorrect. If you buy a steam code for the "definitive edition" on steam https://store.steampowered.com/sub/132479/ the extra camos and weapons are not listed on the page but they are there, (proof: https://www.konami.com/mg/mgsv/na/) i bought the code cheap for 8 bucks (i mean, i already own it and gz and all the dlc, it seems fair) and redeemed it, i was given access to the missing camo and weapon dlcs and an extra copy of mgs to gift.

That's actually the most relevant clue here. the dlc i want is not listed anywhere on the steam page, its exclusive the console exclusive launch collectors editions and the post launch definitive edition, the thing is its not listed anywhere that it includes the camos except for konami website. i "upgraded" my copy to the definitive version and i got the dlc.

this is the answer, the camos aren't listed anywhere as being part of the DE version (except konami's website) but they are there.
