I wish this game had encorporated more elements from MGS3

I love MGSV:TPP don't get me wrong, but I can't be the only one who feels this game would've been better with more of the MGS 3 mechanics? To explain more;

The same Camo index/swapping system: Facepaints, swapping camos while in missions to suit the environment (As right now it's just 'equip the stealth suit, bam'), actual measurements on how well our camo hides us into the environment (I know a "100% Concealed! meter is kinda stupid, but it really helped).

The Food+Stamina system: I'd of loved a hunting/food mechanic, it feels like the "Conservation" mechanic is a form of that but toned right down. I'd of loved us to have a mechanic where when we're out on the field we have to eat and maintain stamina like in MGS3 and have less "Do a mission, go straight to ACC/MB, Rinse repeat", more you could chain missions whilst out in the field and go back to MB when we were done to then proceed the story as necessary.

Map Interactions and Enemies: In MGS3 we could blow up armouries and food storage spots to weaken the enemy. While we have similar things by destroying power/radar/comms this could've been a really cool extension of that allowing us more interaction with the enemy before performing an important mission. It was also so cool screwing with the enemy food supply then throwing out poisoned food/rotten food to ♥♥♥♥ with them.

Kerotan: I'm a sucker for the little green frogs. They were an amazing distraction with their noise and a fun side-activity. I know we got a lot to "collect", but alot of it feels like easy busy work, rather than a fun thing to go out and hunt.

Curing Wounds system: I loved the "Field Medic/Surgery" ♥♥♥♥ from the MGS3 game, it was a bit of busy work to muck around in a menu to specifically cure each issue and suffer from a health debuff as a result, but it was very engaging I won't lie, it made encounters very unique to deal with, whether it be explosions leading to burns, knives leading to cuts and gunshots leading to the need to dig out bullets. I've run into 4 "serious injuries" over the course of my gameplay and the current mechanic just seems boring.


Mission 51: Look, I know this isn't an MGS3 thing. But I wish M51 had made it in, we're left with such a cliff hanger and no resolution without it. If only modders could remake it >QQ

instead of getting this discussion locked by a moderator how bout we focus on the topic at hand which is whether or not MGSV would benefit with some of the mechanics from MGS3,instead of arguing about if its okay to reply to someone in a public forum (which it is).

You're still promoting Survive? LOL Did you really like it that much? I still haven't gotten the urge to check it out. Zombie games really aren't my thing. If it was a true MGSV expansion I would have been more interested in it, but everything I've seen about it just makes me cringe.
