MGO freezes on loading screen / MGO зависает на экране загрузки

After completing most of the game, I decided to try MGO, but after several unsuccessful attempts, I gave up. The launch of MGO always went fine, but at the loading stage the game allways freezes. Then after a couple more hours of playing MGSV, I wanted to play MGO again, but that day I decided to update Windows. Suddenly everything worked, but it was already late (4 am), so I happily went to bed. As you can already guess, the next day MGO, as usual, freezed on the loading screen. At the same time, I have no problems with MGSV.

Does anyone have any idea why MGO doesn't start? I play on a Lenovo Thinkpad E490

После завершения большей части игры мне захотелось попробовать MGO, но после нескольких безуспешных попыток я бросил эту затею. Запуск MGO всегда проходил нормально, но на этапе загрузки игра всегда останавливалась. Потом после ещё пары десятков часов игры MGSV, я снова захотел поиграть в MGO, но в тот день я решил обновить Windows. Внезапно всё заработало, но уже было поздно (4 утра), поэтому я счастливый пошёл спать. Как вы уже догадываетесь, на следующий день MGO не запустился, как обычно игра замораживалась на загрузочном экране. При этом проблем с MGSV у меня не нет.

Есть у кого идеи почему MGO не запускается? Играю на ноутбуке Lenovo Thinkpad E490.

Have you got any mods on your game (MGS:TPP) and have you tried verifying the game files for MGS:TPP?

And since I had to google the specs I'll post them here for anyone else to save you guys the time:

Processor: Intel Core i5 (8th Gen) 8265U / 1.6 GHz (3.9 GHz) / 6 MB Cache
RAM: 8 GB DDR4 (1 x 8 GB)
Storage: 256 GB - M.2 SSD NVMe
GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 620

Have you got any mods on your game (MGS:TPP) and have you tried verifying the game files for MGS:TPP?

If you have EVER, at any point in time used mods on that specific game save or used any cheat client to get high rank soldiers or change any soldiers stats then you are banned & will need to create an entirely new game.

Otherwise, check your firewalls & network settings.

Dude don't misinform like that. I literally have used those mods along with friends so we don't have to grind in singleplayer for years and those mods don't lead to bans. Infact the only 2 bans reported were found to be misinformation.

Also all bans are handled by Steam account, not the save lmfao..

As a result, no matter how much I tried to get MGO to work on a permanent basis, nothing worked, neither Steam, nor firewall different settings. At some point, MGO works fine, and sometime it just freezes in game on loading screen...

A method I found is to put the resolution to 1080p before loading MGO and when you're in-game you can change back to whatever you were using before.

so couple things -- your system doesn't lock up right, so you can watch the metal gear process(es) in your task manager, I'm guessing they are still running, but task manager should show you both cpu and gpu being consumed at a fluctuating rate... if however the game is crashed/locked, it's allocation won't change and it'll likely be solid pegged on whatever the performance was just prior...

I can't believe you have servers up where you are, if I see more than 3 I want to go buy a lottery ticket, even if all 3 are rampant cheaters that just want to lol at others, to still care enough about this game makes my heart feel good...

Does a clean boot help? first thing after starting up, run steam, run mgsvtpp, go into mgo... is it more reliable that way?

To be honest, out of all 5 times when I managed to launch MGO, I did not see the regularity of the problem. Even without Steam Overlay, or with it. I couldn't see any difference between the launch either directly MGO.exe or from main menu of MGSV. So far, I can say that I can't run it through the exe file, though. I managed to start it for all 5 times only from main menu of MGSV or from game menu.
As for the servers, apparently you really should buy a lottery ticket, the last time I played MGO I was playing on a full server for 16 people.

I couldn't find it, I tryied to play with 960p x smth... It's still freezes on loading screen

Maybe that's because I'm playing on laptop
