Help needed with Mission 16

This is the mission where you have to steal the truck that the Skulls are guarding. I don't have the fulton upgrade to be able to extract large cargo, so I need to drive it out. But if I get in the truck and start to drive away, the Skulls just start jumping around like a pack of wild monkeys and easily destroy the truck while I'm driving it. I tried fighting the Skulls, but my Isando grenade laucher barely does any damage to them, it seems like it would take 8-10 grenades to kill each Skull and there are 4 of them.

How the hell is this mission possible?

How is that possible though? Every time I get in the truck and start driving away, the Skulls absolutely annihilate me and the truck is ultimately destroyed.

Or wait until you get the fulton which is what I did.

People who have finished the mission by driving are way better players than me. lol

In my view the truck is too slow to outrun the skulls, so if you are not ready to face them yet, you just let the cutscene happen and then fulton the truck. Immediately whistle for D-horse and then ride your butt off. The skulls will follow, but it's just like it was avoiding them in the misson where you rescued Miller.

I'd work on upgrading your stuff. They jump on the truck if you try to drive away and end up destroying it. More aggravation than it's worth!

Have you tried hopping into one of the APC's and killing the skulls first? or does this prevent you from getting a certain rank or something?

Wait by the road near where the vehicles past, just far enough away that the first APC wont run you over as it drives past. When the cutscene is triggered the skulls spawn, and the two APC's will be unoccupied. I then jumped into the APC in front and movedit away from the truck (so that i would not accidentally shoot it) and i just shot at the skulls til they were dead. If the APC dies then i run to the second one behind the truck and use that one. I use the one in front first because its gun has a faster rate of fire. The second APC has slower ROF which is probably offset by higher damage per shot. But if you miss a skull then you have to wait longer til you reload...and in the beginning of the fight there's obviously a lot of them wailing on you.

But anyways thats what i did, once the skulls were dead i hopped into the truck and drove it away. I didnt really care about ranking or anything that might have been affected by the way i handled it though.

The first method he show in the video, should help you.
Just sneak close to trigger their enter cutscene, then sneak around the building, enter the truck and done. But don't rush, be stealthy.

Fight them with Battle Dress and use Acelleramin pills to give you the slow motion to use the .50cal sniper rifle to take out the skulls

I blew up the first tank with C4, then the cutscene played and I killed the skulls with my missile launcher and assault rifle. Afterwards I fultoned the truck.

I don't really care about rank I just want to beat the damn mission. I'll try the stealth route but it looks tough.

On the "steal the APC and kill the Skulls with it" tactic, when I go into the airport I usually see the truck sitting on its own. The APC shows up later?

Wait until it leaves the airport, plant C4 on the route to blow up the first tank and then the cutscene should play. Kill the skulls and then fulton the truck. Somehow I got an S rank this way.

I was able to beat it with an improvised combination of the stealth approach and the "steal the armored vehicle(s) and kill the skulls" approach. Thanks guys.

Do you have quiet? just tell her to snipe them from the hill then get in the truck and drive away
