Quiet strats. (Cloaked in Silence)

What are ways to beat Quiet? Particularly non-lethal and non-firearm weapons?

Just wondering. Its already easy to beat her in the beginning. But extreme mode. I couldnt use the ammo drops on her anymore, she just moves away. So I have to take her down with the brennan or use tranq gun.

I just want to do this without sniping her.

Sleep grenades and sleep mines works pretty well. If you don't care about S rank, you can use sleep gas bombardment.

If you want a challenge, you can CQC her.

doesnt she pick up the nades detonating? And I already got S-rank. I just want to do the little objective challenge like I did in the regular cloaked in silence mission. Just for the sake of beating it cause it feels good to do it with no weapons.

You're doing it wrong..

Once you drop ammo box on her, watch the distance of the box to target. When it's around 15m/10m, quickly take aim on her (so she takes a shot at you) and hide again. If she's too busy shooting at you, quiet won't have time to evade ammo drops.

Trickiest part is doing it for another 4 times. All you have to do is find a spot where you can take aim (to peep out of cover ) and quickly hide to keep her busy while boxes are dropping on her head.

how do I do it? do I dolphin dive around in front of her or does peeping out of cover work?

peeping out of cover works, aye. (With aim, not just looking) Just make sure you quickly get out of sight again.

You can also strafe-walk left / right if there's no place to hide behind. Find the edges of the moment she spots you, mark the target, drop the box and at last 20-10m you quickly strafe into her sight, let her take a shot and immediatly get out of her sight again. Should be a piece of cake once you know the timings.

so you cant evade her shots with dolphin dive? cause I have done it a few times and she does miss if I dolphin dive.

Haven't said that. If you want to dolphin dive, do it.

I rather lookup the edges and strafe in/out to provoke her taking a shot.

OP asked for a way to achieve the "Defeat Quiet with non-lethal rounds and no firearms at all"..this is the easier way to get an S-Rank for this mission..

If you want to defeat her in a true sniper duel,sure..go ahead..but this is not what OP asked for.

Literally just did EXTREME Cloaked In Silence. Shame you can't CQC her easily anymore, but I found 5 headshots with a level 4 tranq sniper rifle brings her down. The trick is to exploit how she settles into a new position after getting shot. She always positions relative to your own position on the map i.e if you're near the center with the building remnants on the ground she will move behind you on top of the large elavated ruin.

Honestly the best method to use, if you already got an S-rank, is to literally just call in a sandstorm and then just sneak up to her. CQC her each time and you'll get the non-firearm task completed. Airstrikes and your bionic arm don't count as non-firearm attacks for whatever reason so CQC really is the best way to go. Bring D-Dog and Noctocyanin to find her in case you lose track.

And if you read the entire thread, OP is talking about Cloaked in SIlence [EXTREME], wich requires to keep her busy, otherwise she evades every ammo drop. You haven't even mentioned that you had to keep her busy.

on extreme mode i called a air drob on her head, and right before it will hit her, aim at her so she can see you and she will not run but try to shoot you and get hit by the box. it took a little longer but it worked for me.
