Solid Snake, Naked Snake, Vemon Snake I'm so confused! can any one explain?

I'm new to this game and those names confuse me. So which Snake are we playing in MGSV? are Snake in Ground Zeros and Pantom Pain the same?

They're codenames. Most of them are for the same individual but not all.

You're playing as Punished "Venom" Snake in MGSV: TPP.

Venom Snake is a clone of the snake from Ground Zeroes, after the explosion, his face and memories were plastered onto you so as to protect himself from Cipher and most notably Zero.
The person you play, is you, you sacrificed your self in ground zeroes at the destruction of mother base to save Snake, you proved you had the will to die for peace.

No, he's not. He was born a normal man without any relation to Big Boss. And Venom is, in fact, a couple of years older than Big Boss.

That was a metaphor. Kojima's "love letter" to the fans i.e. "you helped with the MSF legacy, player". The character is canon.

He is a clone, not in the literal sense, but he has NS's memories and face.

all of the existing snakes are:

Naked Snake (Big Boss) The one you get to play on Ground Zeroes, Phantom Pain, PW, MPO, MGS3, and ofc, he shows up as an old man on Metal Gear (the old one from the super nintendo), On MG2 and ofc on MGS4

Punished "Venom" Snake (Big Boss's phantom) The man that you get to play on The Phantom Pain Game, he was the medic from the GZ game, we already know very well this guy, so needless to mention about him, he also shows up on the Old Metal Gear Game (also, a very old one)

Solid Snake/Old Snake. The snake that you get to play on most of the old PlayStation games, this man is a clone of Big Boss, along with his brothers, Liquid and Solidus, he shows up on old games, such as MGS4, MGS2, MGS, MG2 (which is also a old game), and MG (another old game)

Liquid Snake. Fun Fact, he is actually Eli, the one Child Soldier, that you get to rescue in-game, and he also shows up on MGS1

Solidus Snake. The Third Child of Big Boss, not much to talk about this guy, but as i mentioned in the article of Solid Snake, he is the Third Brother of Liquid and Solid, Saddly he Doesn't Shows Up in the game, idk if he was mentioned somewhere but he dies...

Snake (Raiden) (temporary codename) let's be honest, we both didn't expected raiden to be among the snakes, and boy, i searched about the Snakes and he was among them for some reason, but it was just a temporary codename, we know alot of him, he was a child soldier that in these days its a Cyborg Ninja, he shows up in MGR, MGS4, MGS2, but what the Wiki doesn't mentions is that he shows up in GZ as a playable character doing a mission, but ofc, we can't use his katana for obvious reasons..., and also on TPP too but only as a uniform when u complete all missions of the game with S Rank
