How do I complete mission 12 (Hellbound)?
So I'm trying to progress in the story, and this mission is screwing me over big-time. Here's the general run-down.

After skipping the cutscene, I use a cardboard box and tranquilizer to sneak out of the power-plant. I don't try and interrogate anyone, I just straight up get the hell out of there.

Next I mosey my way through the 3-4 guard posts to get to the base camp, being sure to neutralize every guard so as not to put the base camp on moderate alert.

After I reach the base camp, I turn the power off and hold up the guy that goes to check it, neutralizing him. I try to be careful not to get seen by the helicopter.

Now here's where it goes downhill; after putting him out of sight, I use the box to sneak through the archway into the camp. A walker comes along, and I stop. He sees me and goes to check; after having his headlights trained on me for enough time, he spots me, and I get royally ♥♥♥♥ed over and have to restart from checkpoint.

All I really want to do is complete this mission, but how do I do that? Tips or tricks I'm missing? What is it?

(Note: I do NOT want to use the Chicken Hat or Stealth Camo.)

When you get there instead of using the road (where the 2 walker pratoles stop eventualy) go right instead from a destroyed radar dish.

Take the delivery paper on both the camp and the power plant, then restart the mission, go in the power plant box delivery area and travel to the soviet base delivery box, you'll spawn in a very safe area and only have to worry about the two sniper while you make your way to get emmerich.

This, then take the street going east. Stay east, but off the street. You'll have to avoid one guard, but that's relatively easy. You'll come across another path/street on the right, make that right and there will be a warehouse on the right. Go through the warehouse rather than around it and you're almost there. just two guards to neutralize guarding the door to emmerich and you're done nearly done.

After the cutscene, come out of the building and turn left. when you come around the building, stay to the right. You'll come up on a building with a sniper on top. Either climb the steps and neutralize the sniper or just toss a Grenade, Sleep Nade or STN nade up there to take care of him. Staying far to the right just walk straight up to where the LZ is. Keep those nades handy because there will be 1-3 guards (maybe walkers depending on how fast you were) and you'll need to neutralize them before they destroy the chopper.

After the 2nd cutscene, Run like hell! If you need help with this part, ask again. Don't want to spoil that part for you. That's the fun part of this level.

I just sprint on foot, easily take out guards with tranq sniper. Steal materials, waltz in, snipe walkers and snipers. Steal some more stuff. Waltz right in where Dr E is. The only challenging part of the mission is evading big ol' Sally

your "some reason" is most likely the soft alert

If you have the invoices all you need is a box and not even so much as a soft alert. If they're on the lookout, they're not shipping anything.

Played this mission earlier and after I run towards the road I seen these two just idling, I just order a Bombardment strike on their position then get outta there quick!

Using a cardboard box is only effective against the helicopter. Any ground troops will see your box from miles out.

You're better off crawling on the ground instead of hiding in a really obvious box

Vehicles in general then. Because tanks and trucks just drive right past me.

Right, I dart both guys then go up the stairs to find the document. Then I travel out of the power station darting as needed. I drive around the guard posts, dart the 3 guys and take the container, then make my way to the base. I then proceed i through the front gate and dart the walkers and anybody else standing around. Extracting them all. I proceed down the left side, darting and extracting the remaing walker and any other strays.

I collect emeric and leave on foot the same way. Everybody has been fultoned so I usually get an A or S - always an S if there were no deaths or alerts.

vid will give you an idea of how to box to Central base and get there a whole lot faster. I'm still trying to work out a no traces myself. I can distract the guys by the door to get in, but after that, they still attack to chopper. Supposedly every mission can be no traces, so I'll keep trying. The vid should get you through it though.

you can't no traces hellbound. because you have to shoot a minigun at the final.
