METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Patch Oct 29, 2016 @ 8:20pm
Is there a mod to remove the glasses from Ocelot?
I know it's kind of an anal nitpick but I thought they looked silly and were clearly just there to advertise some line of glasses they were selling at the time. Is there a mod to simply remove them so it looks the way it did back in the E3 gameplay demos?

If you don't have a solution then there's no need to post. Your opinion on the matter has no place here nor was it ever needed for this particular issue as you had no solution to begin with.

But let me get this clear:
You think its so awful that there is mabye 5 seconds. LITERALY 5 SECONDS in an 100 hour game, where a spesific guy is wearing glasses. So awful that you want a mod to remove it? Im just kinda baffled. Thats like seing a fly buzzing past for a split second, and wanting a mod to remove that, wven though it already over. Like i just dont get why this is a thing for you.
Are you mabye comfusing ocelot with miller?

I would like the Ocelot I love and know. I just don't want silly overpriced glasses that were clearly an advertising gimmick to ruin the immersion. They weren't on him in the trailers.

You do not seem to understand. I did not ask you your opinion on wether or not the silly glasses Ocelot was wearing in MGSV was necessary or not. Whatever you think has no relevance to this conversation. I was asking people how to remove them. I'll explain my position one more time to you.

The glasses were made as a way to sell some stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥ glasses nobody needed. To see them on Ocelot is cringey and silly. So I want a way to remove them.

maybe u can just switch models with the one on the motherbase, google it up on how to do it, but the opening ocelot that wears glasses will not have his cool afghanistan outfit on

*Off topic* I think it's silly too, wearing sunglasses on sunny days? It's so cringey and silly. I's not that Ocelot doesn't wear one in MGS4.

*On topic* Well, like k3st said, I don't think you can remove the glasses without removing his coat in the process, I guess.

His sunglasses are Miller, though.

no i dont think Konami was selling goggles. Ocelot does have sunglasses. I actually like product placement in games, feels more real

I don't know about a mod to remove glasses specifically, but there's a mod to make him look like his MGS3 self if you're interested[www.nexusmods.com].

It's for MGO, but people have ported it to SP pretty easily. I doubt it would help much, since he'd still be wearing the glasses in the pertinent cutscenes.
