how would what i said be stale? It would enhance and highlight the joke thats in the game. It would make the joke of beating your soldiers up and their moral raises funnier.
By introducing 1 soldier that actually acts normally to being attacked. and seeing others being attacked.
"its an honor to be held in your iron grip boss!"
"boss.... harder!"
etc
not saying anything against that. IM saying they should add 1 just 1 that has the opposite because it enhances that joke.
And it is a joke. Sorry but no matter how revered someone is its ridiculous to think that if they walked up to you and beat the crap out of you. Your going to say thank you and consider it an honor. Which is what makes it funny.
And adding 1 npc having a normal reaction to seeing it or it happening to him. Would enhance the joke. It would make it funnier.
So some personal training in CQC or even a bump from him is an honor for any ordinary staff.
What doesn't make alot of sense is when non-combat staff react the same, or even females, like some random zoologist probably shouldn't react same. But motherbase isn't made to it's full potential clearly, it's a place to take a shower lol, and girls are mostly bonus fanservice in MGSV.
sorry but even in real life history nobody considers it an honor to have someone randomly walk up to them and beat the crap out of them.
yes people have drank poisened coolaid because their idol told them to. But guess what. Their idol always gives a reason. A ridulous reason but a reason non the less.
Yes some do ask for training and then it makes sense that boss does cqc moves on them. IT would be boss training with them.
And if you just do it when asked. If thats the only instance where your able to cqc with them. then it wouldnt be a joke. It would be you training with them.
As it is in the game Overall . Sorry this is intended as a joke. To make you laugh.
Sorry but the thought that they idolize him to explain why their moral goes up is on the same level as the excuse kojima gave for why quiet only wears underwear.
NO it wouldnt. It would be the a joke. just like all the other things that happen on motherbase outside of a cutscene.
Ie. the box falling on bosses head when you stand next to the sign warning of boxes falling. The joke with that is most often signs like that dont actually happen in games. atleast in most games more often signs like that are just background stuff that what the sign warns about doesnt actually happen. Its a joke specifically for the player because the player is literally the only one that a box can fall on. Because a box only falls when you stand under the sign.
NOt everything is serious. Theres humor in all of the mgs games. Theres jokes in them all.
the beating the crap out of motherbases soldiers and their moral goes up is one of them.
The cutscene is interesting, because there is clearly confusion from the dd soldiers about whose orders to follow, ocelot, or miller.
Theres fun speculation that miller knew the whole time you weren't BB, so when you saved someone from cipher, he thought it was maybe you going rogue.
it is called tough love
Not to mention they ask for training sometimes
So, throwing them into water for some fun will kill them and just gives you a game over.
