METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

MGS 1 tips?
I have started playing MGS 1 from 1998 on PC and so far i have been liking it, and it runs quite smoothly, but i am confused by some things. In MGS V, you can knock out an enemy and they will stay down for a long time, unless another hostile finds them, but in MGS1 it seems knocked out guards stay down only temporarily? Also how to obtain a weapon? I am at the very beginning in the tank hangar

MGS 1 is 1988 and MGS-2 is 1991.
This is MGS-2 1998 wich suposed to be remake of 1991. But it continues story.

1. You can break soldier's neck and body will dissaper.
2. Gun lay inside of Hangar with tanks. There is few more small storages on second floor.
3. Every weapons is unique and you can find them only in their special places.

You need to check all holes and come back to closed doors when you getting new keys. Remember doors that you can't open. Weapons and aditional gear hidden behind locks and in unexpected places.
Ask on radio too.

If PS, than it must be "square". I played it on PS1 and 2.

You need to spam button to choke, evetually it will break neck.

That's completely wrong, the first game is called Metal Gear and the sequel to that is Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, both MSX2 titles

Yeah. Spam a bit to make the enemy go to sleep. Keep pressing after that and you'll break their necks.

To know more about weapons and how to use them contact Nastasha on the CODEC.

Most of time you can simply avoid enemies.

Also you can watch/read himsday comics(probably better after finishing or at the point when you feel urge to drop the game)

When you scroll items/weapons pay attention what game tells(if I remember it right it shows what item do or describe it, or tells you that you can perfom action by pressing a button)

I'm glad you made this thread, I wouldn't have known that you can download MGS for free on modern computers.
Damn, the controllers for Mouse + k are as unintuitive and frustrating as you can get
But the game is alright though dated

Yeah, even on PSP I remember the controls were horrific, by far the worst aspect of Portable Ops and peace Walker. On PC its even worse since you cant do omnidirectional movement with the camera.

Also, it's impossible to consistantly choke someone, I always let go of the motion buttons too late and suplex them lol
I still remember easy way to cheat second battle with Sniper Wolf.
