Fastest/most broken way to level up R&D? ( or any group really)
While i do have about 400 hrs in the game, started a new save and i forget alot and also dont go hunting down goofy youtube vids so if theres an extremely efficient and fast method i'm unaware. I just fulton everyone to death.

Currently what game mechanic is tied to deciding what stats soliders have when they spawn? Is it based on your heroism points or is it tied to how many missions you've completed, or is it something else altogether. I remember using cheat engine once to test the heroism points idea and it didn't seem to affect their spawn stats.

So whats the fastest method to getting soldiers to start spawning with A and S class stats out in the field? Talking outside of methods like FOB farming or getting them as rewards.

As far as I know, it's based on your heroism. At the start of the game I went around capturing all the outposts I could to get more men (hold them all up and interrogate them, too) along with doing/repeating the side ops and fultoning every animal I could, and I very quickly saw A and better soldiers on the field.

With heroism you see high stat soldiers during missions / free roam but maximum S ranked ones. You need to get S+ and S++ ones from FOB to increase quickly.

The quickest way to level up your units is to get passed Mission 22 Retake The Platform. This opens up FOB. Once FOB is opened up, find targets with a lot of S++ and infiltrate. Nothing raises your levels faster than S++ staff. It's easiest to find those with S++ Staff by friending and supporting people who get attacked a lot. There's always someone on the list. 1 S++ is about the equivalent of having about 5-8 S rank staff. depending on how. You can get 10 S++ with a single infiltration. More if you're good at extracting them out too.

In the end, the staff in the field don't matter at all. Focus on S++ staff and those in the field become weak and pitiful.

Invade security challenge fobs, there is hacked S++ filled fobs aka outer harems, just scan and extract everyone. Soldiers with hacked stats are different, they have S++ and S+ on every perk so you can effectively move them around the unit, use the sort by skills to select and move them to RnD.

Alright cool, guess FOB really is the only quick way huh. Thanks for the feedback guys!

I feel like a noob. Those FOBs with 7+ armors beating my ass so hard. All I can do is to "some how" extract 1-2 guys and then run away. Either the time limit or the high equipment soldiers ruin me before I can actually get some new soldiers

You can try to send the dispatch to weaken their weapon grade, reduce to grade 4, if you have grade 7 armor their grade 4 weapon couldn't really hurt you that much, or maybe try not to raise the alarm, use the drug that allow you to see them through wall. And grade 7 sleep grenade is OP as hell, the affected radius is huge, two sleep grenade enough to sleep everyone on the deck..

Here a crap video of me stealing S++ on fob.

Successfully infiltrating nets you 10 Staff. If S++ Staff is the goal, there's a deployment point on some Command Platforms that is relatively safe. It's very difficult for Staff to see, but they will come there to check out noises and you can sleep and fulton 10 staff easy in 10m and never leave from that spot.

Pic shows spot between two bridges. There's a ladder going down. Staff will always come down the ladder. Just bring noise makers or remove your silencer from a shootable.

Before I got good at ghosting to get all the rewards, this is how I would collect S++ staff. Make noise and let them come to you.

LOL. Well crap, maybe I should of mentioned that I only have like the 7th or 8th mission unlocked. I mean if i had the hand of jehuty and wormhole fultons and all the end game r&d gear i wouldnt be trying to level r&d asap huh? Aahahahaha.

Basically i had no idea GMP and resources carried over even when you delete save data and start over, so i have like 16 million GMP (and this is after almost completely upgrading all the mother base units to 4/4, think i only have like 1 level left for support or intel)

So i have a hideous amount of GMP and resources and literally nothing to use it on because every soldier i find right now is trash. I dont even think the ability to do deployments is unlocked yet XD

Guess im boned till i can access deployments and FOB huh? Only A and S class guys ive gotten so far have been via challenge rewards (which is a nice thing they implemented around the time i stopped playing, seems like it updates every day or 2 with new challenges which is cool)

Don't forget to DC a few low rank guys so you have a guy with a high multiplier value. I prefer a low rank Athlete, but a Climber or Tough Guy have their purposes as well.

If you don't get them now, they become harder to get later, so be sure to DC a few of them.

Not sure what you mean by this, does holding on to certain low rank soldiers affect spawning or something later on?
PhantomGXR Oct 3, 2018 @ 10:27pm
Damn speaking of soldiers this reminds me, i need to start kicking all the dudes that speak kikongo and not fulton any that do, it'll be fun to see how that one particular mission goes if I have like 0% kikongo speaking dudes (unless the game just force infects X amount of non kikongo anyway for the sake of plot armor)

IIRC, someone looking at the code mentioned something about the soldiers spawns, you need to level up your mother base in order to find "better rank soldiers" on the field, just ocunt your combined unit levels, from combat to medical, see if you get a total unit level of 400 then you will find S rank soldiers on the field, I believe anything else doesn't have anything to do with soldier stats.

For the kikongo thing, just rush the storyline then you will get the cure eventually.

DC means Direct Contract. Direct Contract means they can't be fired automatically.

Soldiers are rated with a multiplier. Snake, Quiet, Ocelot are x1.0. S++ staff are between x0.80-x0.90. So ESPG point rewards are actually less with S++ staff than they are using Snake. Low rank staff, from E to A++ vary in their multiplier ranging from x1.0 to x2.0, with x2.0 being the maximum multiplier. Using a x2.0 ranked staff member provides you twice the ESPG points.

Finding an Athlete, Climber or Tough Guy (maybe others) with a x2.0 rating is great for ESPG points, so if you direct contract them, they cannot be fired and you can play as them later on for maximum ESPG. It's easier to DC when you find them early than to try and find them later after everyone in the field is S rank.

They do not affect level rank. I have around 10 low rank guys on DC and my combat unit stays between level 160-162 depending on how many times I've been attacked vs how many times I have attacked someone else. The lowest it's dropped in 2018 has been Level 158. I have so many S++ that holding onto 10 E-A rank soldiers doesn't have any effect on unit level ranking.

Ohhhh, yeah i know what dc meant i was just wondering why you were saying hold onto a low rank guy with a special trait. So basically you can use a low rank guy with a good trait to get double espionage points and thus get access to better rated fob users and as such, bases with much better soldiers to grab. Gotcha. thanks for the tip! I have quite a handful of dudes with those traits ill make sure to DC them now rather than later before they get kicked off their respective ranks due to space and low rank etc
