METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Is there an easy way to turn off the music?
I never have music playing in games. And the music in this is pretty horrid.

Please if anyone knows a way, can they let me know.

The only way I have seen is faffing around with music files in the folders. I this the only way?

Thanks.

The music folder is for playing music on the idroid. Mp3s, specifically.

If you want the majority of the music gone, there's a mod that removes it. It also makes Ocelot and Miller's radio calls shut the hell up, so that's nice.

Two options. I use the first one, Audio Redux.

Hey Seamus.

And thank you so much.

I REALLY appreciate the help.

You have no idea how much better the game feels without Miller and Ocelot jabbering constantly. It's quite nice. Plus, no more interrupting your custom music.

There is a trick to turn off the music, try complete a mission objective and exfiltrate the hotzone with a box in delivery point. Then after that there will be no background music, unless you closed and relaunch the game, and yeah having no music at all make the game play a little bit difficult.

Frankly I'd rather have one that makes Quiet NOT count towards the staff count as she can never be removed from the brig.

LOL there's even a mod that reverses that and they talk a whole lot more. I found the added dialogue interesting.

It's only 1 slot. Not really an issue.

I just wish Quiet's Humminng would shut the hell up - the dialog and in-game music I'm fine with ;p Personally my first helicopter song was "Ride of the Valkyries" - I choose it because it reminded me of PS2's Valkyrie VTOL (damn good game wish their TOS didn't change in such a way that I couldn't play it anymore; Reason was they wanted control of my non-related games in their TOS - I can't abide by that - If they were only talking about their own ♥♥♥♥ I could deal - but interferance in other games that they have no right to is not happening)

Use DD. He's better than Quiet anyway.

There's a mod for that. Although since I don't use it, I'd have to find it. search nexus, I'm sure you'll find it.

Speaking about the humming, Quiet's humming tape is basically a free pentazemin that will keep your aim steady..
