It really isn't. Once you get the hang of things you'll consider every single guard in the game brain damaged and having two fake eyeballs.

Crawl (a lot), it makes you almost invisible even in broad daylight. Use your binoculars (F) to mark enemies from a distance before going in, you'll be able to see them even through walls. Turn on reflex mode if you're having a hard time. Go for headshots with a supressed weapon.

If you want more specific advice then, well, you'll need to tell us what you're struggling with.

With 2 hours in and 1 achievement, nope, zam.

Well learn from your mistakes and try to improve your overall huh..... try to improve what you can/need, it's alright to fail or test something new, well if you explain clearly what the problem is we could try to find an anwser, like for exemple if you can't fight multiple people at once it's because for now it's better to sneak, so look at people from a distance, mark them with your binoculars and such, there is no real game over so try to learn the game at your own pace, zam.

WAIT ! You should play "Metal gear solid 5: Ground zero" first, it's the beginning of MGS5 TPP and it's like a tutorial at some point, also if you transfer your save from GZ to TPP you'll get some bonus, so start with "Metal gear solid 5: Ground zero", it's a bit harder than MGS5:TPP but if you clear it you should be fine in MGS5:TPP, zam.

I think the biggest thing is the controls are messing me up and enemies seem to spot me no matter what like they got xray vision or something, like i'm in the st town i do all the spot stuff then go to sneak in at 1 point i'm in a bush totally hidden watching a guard, the next thing i know i'm getting shot at from behind by a guard that seemed to magicaly apear behind meand then by the time i'm able to get the controls to let me turn around and try to get up and fire backthe whole towns on me and i'm dead, after multiple faild i just gave up and quit due to frustration

Well, sounds like to me you're not really used to playing "fast" paced action games then if a guard spots you before you spot him.

If reflex mode is on, this is the process:

Guard spots you.
Huge "!" sound plays.
Game goes into slow motion.
If you press Aim (right mouse) you instantly aim at the guard that saw you.
You have several seconds to shoot him before he calls out for help.
If failed, he will either shoot (if you're closeby) or run away to call for reinforcements.

That's a lot of time to react in some way.

1: Turn on reflex mode so you have a crutch to lean on.
2: Crawl, DO NOT RUN, through outposts. How far away enemies can see you depends on your stance and your camo. You can ignore the latter for now. If you must move faster then crouch walk at the very least. Running and sprinting aren't for sneaking.
3: Don't think in bushes, think in line-of-sight. While crawling you can get within ~30 meters of a guard and he won't be alerted, he might catch a glimpse of you but that will only prompt him to shine his flashlight at you and/or move to investigate. Keep them ~45 meters away from you for utmost safety.
4: Don't be afraid to simply take out guards. There's no need to leave everyone standing or anything.

If someone shot you from behind without reflex then you were already under a combat alert. Avoid the combat alerts. They are more aware of their surroundings under a combat alert.

If that wasn't the case and there was reflex then you need to pay more attention to your surroundings. It may take a bit, but you'll figure out where you can lay low at and where you shouldn't because it's in someone's path of travel.

I'm on my 3rd play through (not counting the hundreds of times I've replayed all the missions within the original play through) and this time I'm not upgrading any weapons. I'm 12 missions in and still running around with *1 weapons. It's not that difficult, but I have done every mission many times over. I'm going to see just how far I can get with peon weapons.

OP as you are roaming around try and capture the tiny outposts you see. The ones that have like 3-4 soldiers stationed in them. Use those as opportunities to get an idea for how enemy alert states work, how far you can be from them before they see you, and how your different stances will change that distance. Know when reflex mode is triggered and how to use that to your advantage. Like if you are crawling up to a group of 3 soldiers who are completely unaware and not at alert status then keep crawling up until you get a good shot at all 3 of them. Then go from prone to crouch to trigger a reflex action (slow motion) and easily pop all 3 of them in the head. Or if you are not comfortable with your headshotting ability then just take out your tranq gun and very quickly tranq everyone in the leg or arm. It wont instantly knock them out BUT once the sleeping agent takes effect it will knock them all out in quick succession so that they wont have a chance to sound off and alarm on the radio.

It gets easier with a combination of practice, and gear/Mother base upgrades. I cringe remembering back when my crew and personal stats were not good enough to succesfully fulton someone in the middle of a cloudy day, let alone a sandstorm.

Eventually getting your very first sneaking suit will make a huge difference in lazy spy work for example. Which then leads to being comfortable enough with the controls and mechanics to go back to using leopard print shirts or Tuxedos for style reasons.

It can also help your first time through to focus on the main objectives for story missions regardless of how non lethal or murder happy that is. Don't worry about rank, don't worry about kidnapping everyone, just worry about getting it done however you can that still counts as a mission clear.

It is surprisingly liberating, and you may even end up getting better ranks anyways just from how much faster you complete missions rather than spend an extra half hour ensuring you don't get spotted or kill anyone. Beating a mission in 15 minutes after shooting three people in the face with bullets impresses Miller more than spending 45 minutes slowly knocking everybody out and not getting spotted.

That said, preperation goes a long way. If you have access to the area in free roam, it can help to get in there and destroy anti air radars and radio consoles early, which will persist into running the story mission version (There is a bug in the mission "CW2" where if you break the radio early there, you are stuck with a - rank forever though. So wait until after that mission to start premptily breaking radios. Unless they patched that finally?).

You can always replay main missions for side objectives later, and many missions have side objectives you will not be able to meet without first unlocking specific upgrades. For example, any mission wanting you to extract vehicles. Of which the specialist will not show up until Mission #10 anyways.

But as for stealth, your early game darts are not very strong without clean headshot. But don't be afraid to shoot a bunch of people in the leg once, and wait for them to go to sleep after a bit. Or take advantage of early game chumps investigating unconscious bodies to put them in an easier position to shoot in the face, or sneak up on.

Be mindful of the drivers of the huge trucks, as they always have radio backpacks. So they are allowed to call in proper alerts regardless even if you have taken out base coms so they go "We can't contact HQ for reinforcments cause the radio is busted, oh no!"

Cash trap wise, helicopter costs are applied to every single supply drop you make. So strapping a bigger engine onto your chopper will drastically ramp up the cost for ordering a fresh supply of suppressors.

The Russian rocket launcher and upping your C4 count are the best "Poor Man's anti tank equipment". Fancy stuff like electromagnetic net mines are great for making it easier to steal them later, but you can't unlock the required specialist for those until mission 30 or something anyways.

Even if you grab the blueprint for fancy multi warhead launchers from the early mission it is in, odds are you won't even have the research crew rank yet to unlock it without already being at a point you don't need it in the first place.

D-Horse's ability to teleport is also very handy all game. If you are not confident in riding past an outpost without getting spotting, crawl past like a sneaky sneak, then call for D-horse once you are past the place. Can't do that with a Jeep without racking up a delivery bill.

These are some good starter points. There's a nice little trick that is worth learning. The tackle and hold up. Dive at someone who sees you then point your weapon at them. It will hold them up and they'll just roll over. It's a great tool to have in your arsenal of how to deal with enemy combatants.

It's not needed. You're better off learning to play than using the chicken hat.
