Squares camo is good for FOB's.
I just tried Tiger Stripe in Afghan as some of the surface is rather rocky, but got spotted by Jeepc#nt almost immediately so ordered Animals back off Amazon Prime
Lol, haven't unlocked it yet on this playthrough though I'm close. Its cool and all, but like the stealth item and bandana novelty wears off quickly. I want to be surviving rat to rat
Other camo's that I find useful that are not Golden Tiger or Desert Fox......
APD - It's a pixelated Desert camo great for most of Afgahnistan (non-Urban environments)
Gray Urban or Square - Good for Urban Environments, Afghanistan Central Base or Africa Mfinda Oilfield or Nova Braga Airport, these are also good for FOB
Wetwork or Solum - I like to use for CodeTalker, especially EXTREME CodeTalker to sneak past all the Sniper skulls straight up the river.
Night Bush - I like to use in Africa (non urban environments)
Don't really feel like modding this game, will just take a 2 L1 weapons instead and impose that I can't use them till I get one of an enemy. I don't have most of those camos, are they DLC or special edition ones?
I still need to S rank Code Talker Extreme, just did all 6 objectives on 1st run and the game threw an A at me. Not fighting the skulls again, just gonna do what you suggested instead with a Climber soldier.
A good majority of Camos are gotten through playing FOB Event Missions and you buy them with Event Points. More likely than not, that's where they all came from. There are some that came with the Definitive Edition that was originally part of preorder items, but you would already have those if you bought the Definitive Edition.
Once you get past mission 22 you can start doing FOB Event missions and buy them with Event Points. Not all are on every event mission and the event switches every 2 weeks with a new set of items to buy.
I've always felt like "no sound footsteps" was kind of cheating. Not cheating in the traditional sense of cheating, but does make it too easy to just sneak up on someone. At least for "in field" type stuff I don't like using them. FOB is a different story since you need all the protection you can get in many cases. I really don't feel like the camo system is as developed as it was in MGS3. In reality, I can wear anything in field and it's just as easy, why make it any easier?
Why do people like you come to these threads? Do you feel clever now? You're not, you're nothing more than a parasite with his head up his own donkey.

The stealth camo makes it too easy to sneak up on people and aids your health recovery drastically. I like to just blend in. The purpose of this discussion was to discuss CAMOUFLAGE ONLY. I tried to google this but all I get is people like you blabbering on about "just use the sneaking armour". No, I used it the 1st time round and didn't like the challenge it took away.
Current FOB Event Uniforms. They change every 2 weeks.

Greenery - for grassy areas, forests, tall weeds
Rocky - Mountainsides, rocky areas
Rivers & Swamps - Muddy, or where rivers are present
-- a camo like Wetwork is for the Pitch Dark areas, Kibiza Camp, the Voices area right before the tunnel, and certain muddy parts of Africa --
Metal & Concrete - Concrete or metal surface areas like FOBs or bases
Red Soil - Africa areas where red soil is present (Golden Tiger fatigue)
Sand & Soil - Desert and arid areas
Equipment or when driving vehicles - While riding D-Walker or driving a truck or using an AA gun (Splitter fatigue)
and finally the mixture camouflages like Animals (which is for sandy surfaces and greenery)
The description of the camouflage is important so a fatigue like Green Tiger (made for rocky areas) is really good for Afghanistan....

Night Bush is for rocky areas so it is best used in Afghanistan.
