Request Supply Drop (Equipped)
Is there a way to request a supply drop for the same item which you have equpped?
Since it's much cheaper, I've taken a liking to requesting drops through the development page when I only need 1 item.

Right now, what I need is Fulton extraction devices, but I've already run out of the 12 count pack.

I do have the 24 count already done, but I don't really need 24 of them. Is there a way for me to drop something in my inventory maybe?

Can't you just request an ammo, fulton supply drop? it just replenishes all the ammo for your currently equipped weapons and items :D

Yeah you're right, but it charges you for a resupply of all of them.

For instance, it costed me 1400 GMP for just the fulton devices, but costs like 3400 and some plants, fuel, etc for the entire resupply.

No, you can't drop a single item, which you already have equpped. This may work later, when you have fulton 2 different fulton devices, but right now, it's not possible.

If you have the 12-fulton pack equipped and you call in ammo/fulton drops, it costs way more, than simply equipping the 24-fulton pack. You get a small refund(GMP only) for any excess equipment, when you call in an ammo/fulton drop. Never calculated it tho, cause sooner or later GMP will be the least of your worries, like sniper rifles with 150,000+ GMP and a couple thousand of ressources deployment cost. ;)

Anyway, equip the 24 fulton-pack and you'll get better results. Would be kind of annoying if you have 13 tragets to fulton and only 12 devices. Not really worth the drop, no?

You are partially correct. The initial cost of the drop is more yes, but if you pick up every item notice the +GMP when you pick up items already full or mostly full. It gives you the cost difference back when you pick them up.

Thanks I hadn't noticed the refund part. That makes more sense I think.

It'd be a shame though if it's true about the plants/fuel not being refunded though.

So i'm going to test it out, you can see the cost of the resupply here on this screen: It's not that much so I figured there's no harm in trying.

It's 3310 GMP, 15 Biological, 5 Commor Metals, and some plants.

Now we'll see how much we get refunded. I've used all of the capture cages, so the carrots should not be refunded, but I haven't used the cigar at all so the other plant should be refunded.

I'm not sure where the common metals come from, but I suspect it's the smoke grenades, which I haven't used (and should be refunded).

Those costs are tiny, depening on how far into the game you are, you'll make 10 times that amount completing an empty FOB under security challenge.

My advice to you, do not bring anything you don't need, capture cages are a waste early into the game, phantom cigars are only worth using after you have developed their final grade and DO NOT under any circumstance, fulton every single soldier in the field, you'll get better staff as volunteers joining your army as you progress the game.

Only use your fultons for vehicles, weapons and containers, don't worry about plants, you will unlock something called dispatch missions where you'll be able to send staff to different missions and will gain resources, money and soldiers that way.

I'll slightly disagree with Coyote Knight on the fultoning of soldiers. When I played through, I only fultoned the highest rank there currently was in the field at the time. Anything lower than the highest rank would get killed or ignored. They may not have great all around stats, but during the SP side, rank in one unit is better than no guys at all. Later on you'll get better all around guys, but during the single player side of things, go ahead and fulton the better soldiers in field. It can only help to increase your unit levels.

At some point you'll unlock the ability for DD to fulton. Most useful upgrade of all the Buddy upgrades because when DD fultons it doesn't take from your own inventory, but it is tied to your fulton inventory count in the fashion that if you run out, so does DD, so always save 1.

a couple of questions... did you get all your staff from security challenges? and also maxed out precious metal from there?
