Genetically speaking, is Big Boss Italian, Portuguese, German , ... ?
Yes, he is "american" for the United States but what of his european genetic ancestor heritage ?

Yes, if he is german, he would be an aryan and it would explain why he is such a Master Race Soldier that they needed to make clones out of him.

The Sorrow is the father of Ocelot and Big Boss. Ocelots mother is Joy (The Boss) .
The Sorrow was Sovjet. I think Big Bosses mother is unknown. He got raised by The Boss.

So to answer your question: His origin is half Sovjet and half unknown.
The Boss is American. Beyond that we've got no idea.

Kojima's original idea of Big Boss in the development of MGS3 was to make modeled after Arnold Schwarzenegger, Standing tall and muscle bound. However I think they might of scrapped that idea out and gave Col. Volgin that image, but if not then I would say that NS Big Boss is possibly Aryin in decent. However, it is never mentioned.

Used to be that back in either the MSX games or MGS1 he was supposedly a 2nd or 3rd generation Japanese American, but only according to some handbook or other with no mention in game.

Really we don't know who BB's parents are or where they are from.
