Thank you for your answer.
Though if you're engaging an enemy player, color might mean more to you, depending on the color of their platforms.
At that point you might be using camo as it's intended, to fool human eyes, and not just for an arbitrary number statistic that decides how easily A.I. units see you.
For fooling a player the best armor is Mother base sneaking suit, because the color is close to the FOB ground and it as good armor, so if you want to PvP it's good, also going in at night and the fact that NVG can't highlight you with it is why I use that suit a lot, zam.
He's probably refering to the plain old Sneaking Suit, not SV (Ground Zeroes) or Naked Snake's. Higher grades of the regular Sneaking Suit provide a defense boost as well as the increased health regen bonus, but those higher grades are also absurdly expensive and are probably only useful for FOBs if you anticipate player confrontation.
If I recall correctly, all the different Sneaking Suits offer the NVG protection perk.
The ground zero one, zam.

Also sneaking suit seem to doesn't mean sh1t when NVG's are used if you don't use balaclava.
