METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

[Solved] FOB : Square or Gray urban camo ?
Hello,

I recently discovered how important is the camouflage compared to sound-muffling for FOB raids.
Right now, I'm using the ''square" camo, but I also have the "gray urban" camo in my outfits. The Square is rank 3 and the Gray urban is rank 1. Does the rank here actually matter (more armor, better camo, ...) ? Do they give actually the same results in terms of camouflage ?

For reminder, both of them are described to be well-suited for enviromments with metal and concrete, hence their effiency on FOB platforms.

Thnx in advance.

Rank does not matter, so as long as it says it's good on concrete it will do the job, even if the camo is pink or yellow, zam.

Though if you're engaging an enemy player, color might mean more to you, depending on the color of their platforms.

At that point you might be using camo as it's intended, to fool human eyes, and not just for an arbitrary number statistic that decides how easily A.I. units see you.

For fooling a player the best armor is Mother base sneaking suit, because the color is close to the FOB ground and it as good armor, so if you want to PvP it's good, also going in at night and the fact that NVG can't highlight you with it is why I use that suit a lot, zam.

When you speak of MB sneaking suit, you mean the same one as Ground Zero or the other darker sneaking suit ?

He's probably refering to the plain old Sneaking Suit, not SV (Ground Zeroes) or Naked Snake's. Higher grades of the regular Sneaking Suit provide a defense boost as well as the increased health regen bonus, but those higher grades are also absurdly expensive and are probably only useful for FOBs if you anticipate player confrontation.

If I recall correctly, all the different Sneaking Suits offer the NVG protection perk.

The ground zero one, zam.

Ho, one last question before ending this thread : do variants of the camos (scarf/standard/naked) matter for stleath or are they purely aesthetical and don't change anything for guard's detection ?
The author of this topic has marked a post as the answer to their question.

False. GZ one is blue. The guy who wrote "similiar to FOB's ground" he meant the black one typical for TPP. Black one is the best thing one can universally wear, BUT you get more points for fatigues; Thing is, if you use fatigues the victim shows up to defend his base you're simply ded.

Also sneaking suit seem to doesn't mean sh1t when NVG's are used if you don't use balaclava.
