Tranq Pistol, infinite durability suppressor?
I'm looking in my equipment tree, and I see an infinite durability variant of the tranq pistol, however it uses lethal rounds. (It's gold, whatever that means)

Now I was able to take a suppressor from somewhere(I believe from the M2000), and attach it to my tranq Renov sniper rifle, while normally it doesn't have one at all. Would I be able to do the same with the tranq pistol. If I eventually develop the lethal variant that has the infinite durability suppressor, can I apply that to the standard tranq variant?

Those 3 are...

WU S.PISTOL *5
WU S.PISTOL +SB *7
WU S.PISTOL CB *8

All 3 of the those have infinite suppressor and are non-lethal, so there is no need to use other suppressors on the WU Pistol. Just upgrade it to that point.

He's probably talking about the WU S.pistol 9 *7 which is an infinite surpressor using a 9mm lethal round. The infinite durability non-lethal is not a gold (online development) item.

I know what he was talking about, but he was talking about using the suppressors on the NL version and that isn't how it's done, that's why I felt I should explain that it isn't need with 3 different variations of the WU sleeper that natively have infinite suppressor.

Weapons and equipment with a gold background only means that it has to be developed online (the ones that take at least a few days to develop, but unlike the offline/blue background items, you don't need to be in-game the whole time); it doesn't determine the damage type at all.

The weapons that have built-in/infinite surpressors can't be used with anything other then the weapon and grade it was specifically designed for. However, if you have researched a submachine gun or handgun that has a high durability surpressor, the ones with three bars with no infinity symbol, you can attach that to almost any handgun or submachine gun you wish.

It should be noted you can usually mix-and-match different surpressors onto different weapons; handgun and submachine gun surpressors can be attached to most handguns and submachine guns, assualt rifle and sniper rifle surpressors can be attached to most assualt rifles, sniper rifles, and machineguns, and lastly shotgun surpressors can only be attached to certain shotguns.

This answers my confusion about the sniper rifle suppressor then. I double-checked my tree, and I haven't developed the M2000 with the suppressor on it yet. It must be using the suppressor from the starting silenced rifle they give you.

The infinite sup on the WU is almost worthless since you only ever get 30 shots and the high durability sup from the SMG Macht 37 line can be put on pistols and lasts for 30 shots. So the only way to get real use out of the infinite is to find NL ammo in the field which is rare. The NL Burkov benefits from its inf sup though.
