*spoiler* Where does Quiet go after A Quiet exit?

So after just replaying the game and finishing Mission 45 I remembered the question I had when i first played it. Where does quiet go? does she just disappear from the MGS franchise or does she show up in a later installment or is she just a massive plot hole left to be unexplained now kojima has been binned

She morphed into Sniper Wolf.

Since Quiet is never mentioned in either Metal Gear or Metal Gear Solid, it's most likely she wandered in to the Afghan desert and let herself die. Though possible she may have had something to do with the eventual Russian retreat from Afghan territory is possible, in the end, she knew her very presence could have the potential to both destroy the world and secure Skullface's legacy. I doubt she committed suicide, at least not by bullet to the head. But more likely she lived our her days in the desert in obscurity, eventually allowing herself to die in a place devoid of life, taking the parasites with it.

In the MGSV novelization, Quiet self-immolates after leaving Venom. Her and the parasites burn to death in the vast desert expanse. A symbolic death to be sure, since Ishmael's makeshift molotov caused her to become Quiet in the first place.

That's just the novelization, though: Metal Gear novelizations differ quite a bit from the games on some instances.
