Modding with Snakebite
Howdy fellow Snakes! :VSnake:
After 600+ hours it never occured to me to mod the game, but I also dislike modding games for personal reasons. Until I bumped to these #ReShade mods that change the appearence of the game, mostly work within gamma, contrast, colors etc.

Anyway, to get to the point; There's a particular ReShade I'm willing to install, that requires Snakebite. Since Snakebite works as a Launcher / Mod Installer - do I have to always start the game through SnakeBite in order to "activate" this Reshade? Or only the 1st time around?

Cheers.

No, Snakebite simply manages the installation of mods by making strategic backups and altering .dat files as necessary. You can launch the Steam executable using it, but it doesn't need to be running.

It's a great mod manager, very lightweight and unobtrusive, and also allows for easy uninstallation of mods since it does all the busywork and backups that you'd otherwise have to do yourself.
