10 infiltrations with defender for Bronze banner.
30 infiltrations with defender for Silver banner.
100 infiltrations with defender for Golden banner.
You can buy your banner in the event point exchange tab.
Learn the names that are always on SC. Those are the ones you don't want if you want a defender. Many of them are put up just to share resources and staff with everyone. Usually cheated staff, but hey, at least they're sharing.
You want the ones who go up for a short time and come back down again. They want the PVP. It can also help if you press G on them and look at their profile to see if they're online. If they're online, go for it. It's more likely that they'll defend.
You can also find people to defend if you make some friends and attack their indirects. I find more luck here finding PVP than in SC. If you check if they're online prior to attacking, 9 times out of 10 they'll come defend.
Grade 11 armor, headshot is instant kill, unless he use a wormhole generator to save him, if you want to see some tips on how to fight a defender there is a topic I've made wich shows some videos of me fighting a defender in Security challenge, the topic should be named "Let me share some interesting FOB fight" or something like that, zam.

I don't expect that with 140 hours in the game that you would have the gear yet that could compete with someone who has been ranking up their gear for a year or more. It takes time to get up that high.
At this point in the game, I really sucked. The gear helps, the lessons help even more. Don't look at it as, I can't do it, so I suck. Look at is as.... There are lessons in failure. When you're fighting a defender much better than you, watch how he moves, watch where he moves. Pay attention to the weapons he's using and the gear he has. The next time around, try emulating his approach. You can't expect to best a person with *11 gear when you have *5 gear. That's like trying to kill a tank with a BB Gun, but you can take the lessons they have to teach you and learn from them.
Well you could take a guy with a grade 11 armor and stuff with a lower cost loadout, it will require some skill tho, it depends on the FOB too but since you can deploy units to lower grade items of guards and defender you can close the gap or give you a boost, headshots and other ways to get someone no matter their level of gear are effective, I managed to get past BossBarboss with sneaking gear on training without him spotting me lol, zam.
Yes, *11 gear is way OP compared to *5 gear. It will take you about 6 months to be able to compete. Maybe faster if you know exactly which weapons and gear to develop and really go after earning a lot of S++ staff so you can develop them.
He probably knew that you were no match, so didn't even try to fight with good tactics. I've done this before on guys I knew were no match for the gear I have. I'm a sloppy player though and don't mind getting bloody. There are some that will fight with good tactics regardless of who they're fighting. These guys I'm no match for, but I still enjoy the PVP as a learning experience.
Want to watch some really good tactics, watch this....

There's a battle with me in there that begins at 2h 47m. if you want to watch it. Throughout his entire Stream you'll see both infiltrations and defenses.
For my battle with LGT here's my perspective of that same battle. I had his stream going in the background, so you can hear his vocals over top of my playing throughout sometimes.

I will just continue and complete my gear, thanks a lot
There are cheaters in FOB, but it's not totally terrible. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. There has to be something really concrete for me to call a cheat a cheat. STN-ALL cheat is pretty obvious. Infinite Health isn't always obvious if you're low grade and they have high grade items. Warp to core is obvious. Speed hacks aren't always obvious, depending on how fast they go because Raiden suit is really fast and Snake with upgrades is pretty fast too. Then there's ammo cheats that are obvious, but I don't see any of these all that often anymore.
The one that is commonly mistaken for a cheat is the *10 (or higher) WH Gen. When you get STN or ZZZ or what should be a kill, it will auto-teleport you to whereever you placed the WH Gen at. Just keep in mind that it isn't a cheat.
Players who like PVP will often sneak one into your core and if you kill them, they'll teleport to core legitimately, so it can appear like the Warp to Core cheat when it's not.
I've been playing since Dec 2016 with 3000+ hours in game and I still haven't upgraded all items yet. I'm down really low, so all that is left are swimsuits and a couple weapons I've never used, but I still have items left to upgrade. By my calculations I still have another 2 months before they're all done. That's why it's important, especially if you're doing FOB, to learn what weapons you need to be competitive and concentrate on those first. The rest can be done at your leisure.
My must haves:
Riot Pistol (AM-114 RP, I think, if not it's close, it's the only one with RP in the name)
MRS-71
RGL-STN
STN Nades
Sleep Nades
Grenades
Smoke nades
WH Gen
FOM Decoy (Field of Movement Decoy) Can help hide your location from a defender (or infiltrator)
A box or 2 or 3, preferably the smoke box being one of them. Also helps to hide where you're at.
Sneaking Suit (almost as good as Battle Dress in terms of Armor protection, but prevents being highlighted with NVG) *11 SS is about equivalent to *10 BD and is worth it to prevent NVG vision.
Noctocyanin (let's you see where the enemies are, but not a defender)
I've seen people use Hand of Jehuty or the STN arm as well. I should probably try using them more, but I typically forget they exist.
Most anything else you would need is optional, but for me, those are my own must haves. I didn't learn about the RGL until I already had over 2000 hours in game. That's a must have for good players. Otherwise you'll never get close enough to do a good player any damage at all. Use the RGL from a distance then when it STN's them, head shot them with the sniper rifle. I've also had luck replacing the MRS-71 with the fulton launcher, but then you'll also need to replace the RP with a DMG weapon. Those are personal choices though. Well... It's all personal choices. If you're looking to get good at PVP, this is a good loadout to work on.
