You can be either a saint, or a mass murderer, the outcome doesn't change. You can extract everything and everyone, or you can play "catch the bullet" with enemies and wildlife, you're still the leader of Diamond Dogs.
tl;dr the ending won't change based on your actions.
I don't kill anyone [much], But if this game works like peace walker you'll get less heroism for doing things the bloody way so it'll take slightly longer for higher end soldiers to show up, This is the only real effect that can technically effect your staff other than the wounding.
Otherwise you'll just be hornier then usual and may bleed constantly, Recommended treatment is to repeatedly tie balloons to children until the bleeding stops.
Overall you have nothing to worry about.
The Game has a Morality System. For lot of actions you get DEMON POINTS. For lot of actions you decrease them points. On Internet you can find Lists of actions.
I drive the middle way. Means, i play both.. but kill only if i have to because i come in a dangerous situation.
Nope, you're not affected beyond the horn growing.
Whoever you got that from is completely wrong, killing mooks in the field has no effect on staff morale.
The only thing with staff that changes is the dialogue they give you when you get close to them and the conversations they have with each other on the base.
Except the highest rank for the missons is no traces. It's a stealth action after all.
Uhh no.
The highest rank for missions is an S.
No traces is an end mission score bonus, not a rank.
You can kill stealthily by slitting throats. I understand penalizing rambo mode by giving less mission score. What I don't understand is why should successful stealth kills (bodies never found) should result in a lower score too.
Spilling blood is bad for business, For one those people you kill WILL be found after the mission is done and they're going to start wondering who's done it, And even if you're not caught now you might be spotted in another mission there later and they'll start connecting dots, PF's don't want to make enemies especially if those enemies can give them contracts down the line and it's a lot easier to forgive a couple of your guys getting roughed up then several dead, It's the same reason you lose some heroism for just being spotted.
Oh also any kills you make could potentially be traced back to your client that's also really bad for business not to mention mental health for your client if all they wanted was someone rescued then figure out several squads of men were murdered during the rescue, Not to mention they could possibly find your client since they're one of the people who could possibly benefit from their rescue.
Good insight. I've had similar thoughts but it kinda broke down when fulton extraction entered the picture. I mean, sure, I'm not killing anyone but it's basically abduction. I'm sure a military group (the soviets in this case) would not want their troops getting abducted as much as their troops getting killed. Hell, fulton extraction is even worse because the troops defect and bolster the enemy ranks.
