Is the story complete now?
There was much critisism regarding the incomplete story on release. There was talk about future dlc's and patches that may fill the holes in the narrative. Any of this happened?

Huh? What?

I dont think that there has been any DLC for the story. The story is still fine though. It starts off strong and kinda drops off towards the very end, but overall its an enjoyable experience!

The story is complete. Some people just don't like it and think it isn't complete because they can't wrap their mind around the concept of how it ended.

Pretty much.

There's no possible way to fill THAT MANY holes into just a dlc. MGS 6 needs to happen, but I doubt it will. Let's be honest; Unless Konami can prove us wrong, the end of Kojima was the end of the legacy of Metal Gear. Like there are TOO MANY questions that need to be answer. The shouldn't and musn't keep milking the franchise like Bethesda did to Skyrim. They need ONE MORE game that ties everything together and answers everything. Then, they can put the series to rest, maybe even release the FOX Engine to some eager modders. But we're talking about the same company that fired Kojima, so I'm not expecting much, to be honest.

You mean MGS1 and 2 on MSX I guess, because there you see that Solid Snake kill Venom Snake, zam.

It's finished. Anyone who still whines over the games story needs to get over themselves. It is done, both Kojima and Konami could not give a toss about what you guys think.

Well from what I know kojima had to rush it because of konami crap. I played through every metal gear so far and my expectations are quite high. Started playing so far its amazing.

The story is both finished and never completed.
Finished because the Truth secret is revealed.
Never completed because in Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain it is always just another day in Outer Heaven.

Yeah a new DLC just came out today, it's called ''Did you rike it Volume 2'' and it's only $39.99.

You can't get it on steam yet though, you gotta go to Konami's website and use the japanese version of the page.

If there is a Metal Gear Solid 6 produced without Kojima I can just about guarentee it will take place somewhere completely different in the timeline. Could be earlier, could be later, who knows, but more likely than not, I would think we would see more spinoffs and not additional story in the Metal Gear series. Something like a sniper game with Quiet as the main protagonist. Hell, I'd play that game.

Sniper Quiet game? Screw that, what we need is a Boss game.

To each their own on that one. It's just a mental wish. Whatever actually happens is what we'll play. For now, it's survive and I'll pass on that one.

It's complete, but it's messy. A few things that were building towards something get dropped off a cliff suddenly. The basic narrative is...pretty good, though.
