helicoptor keeps getting shot down

Hello Group, my question is how come when I am in a mission and now side mission as my helicoptor is about to drop me off we fly right into a enemys base and get shot down, I;m like WTF??? my pilet does zero defense manuvers and we end up getting shot down.

I have used the helicoptors main gun and we still get shot down as I dont ever see where the missles are coming from...help please! getting very frustrated.

Upgrade the helicopter, change the dropping zone, etc.

Do NOT drop into red landing zones.
They are certain death.

Those are best used for extraction rather than insertion.

From experience using the helicopter to the best of its abilities requires a few things.

1. First and formost knowing when and when NOT to use helicopter support.

2. Landing OUTSIDE a base, infiltrating and destroying/extracting as much Anti-air as possible (emplacements/vehicles/radar etc) C4 works great when setting off chain explosions.

3. Upgrading your helicopter.

Remember its a helicopter and not a flying tank. Armor is meant to increase defense against small arms fire, not tank AA cannon fire.

Hello Group, Pequod here. My question is how come when I am in a mission and now side mission, Big Boss always tells me to we fly right into a enemy's base and we get shot down, I'm like WTF??? I suppose I could do some kind of defensive maneuvers, but I have strict orders from the Boss to just drop him off and we end up getting shot down.

I have seen him use the helicoptors main gun and we still get shot down as the he doesn't ever see where the missles are coming from... I wish he would just select a diffrent drop zone. Help please! Getting very frustrated.
