METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

Advice for Materials Procurement?
Cause this is kind of happening and I didn't realize until now why my Materials processing almost nearly haulted in terms of how much is exactly processed when time passes by.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1♥♥♥♥09811

On the near same note, my ranking for Materials Procurement and Processing are current.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1♥♥♥♥10324

Any advice? I kind of know that I need to take Material Containers from not just Afghanistan and Africa but I am kiiiiiiind of scared to infiltrate FOBs that give TONS of Materials just for completing an infiltration with no real mission tasks done but sneaking in unnoticed.

Lastly, for an example of more advanced players, how much material is processed within S Rank time frames? About the same? Or more?

I know that between E to S rank in Materials Processing the wait time quite literally shortens significantly. I just want to know if the amount of materials processed is different or the same.

Lazy Skunk's Link gives pretty good detail about processing. If you're wanting Material Containers and are willing to Farm for them Repeat Mission 30. You get a pretty hefty amount raw mats for each type.

By Repeat I mean:

Go Offline.
Begin Freeroam near OKB Zero.
Take D-Walker
Have some Form of Stealth to make it easier and Faster.
Open the Mission Tab and Begin Mission 30.
Grab all the Raw Materials.
Optional Grab Tanks for extra GMP
Run thru Checkpoints between Gates.
Once you see the mats recovered at the Base ABORT the Misssion DO NOT RESTART.

If you've done this right you should be back in Freeroam. Repeat as many times as you wish or when you run out of GMP. If you collected the Tanks you can make some GMP back.

Actually, if you hit a checkpoint your stuff arrives at Mother Base, no matter the items extracted. But if I can remember correctly, OKB doesn't really let you go too far out of it. So I will have to check for that later. But thanks you two! Also I will have to read that link. Even if I read the comment. I'd like as much info as possible.

it is more effective to grind the fobs (until you hit a cap on online materials). but mission 30 is a good point to get some..

Pffffffffft! I keep seeing people using the Stealth Camo stuff. Its hilarious to watch, but unfortunately I do not have the Raiden suit which is given after S-Ranking every mission. I've only hit the Cursed Legacy Mission and have not attempted it.

If you're in need of materials, just invade abandoned FOBs and steal from those.

You'll earn more materials from an hour of FOB stealing than repeating the same mission over and over.

While it is true that when you reach the max amount of Unprocessed Materials, its possible that most would be stored online rather than offline, of course it also has to be taken into account which FOBs are abandoned. In which I'm never sure how many FOBs are abandoned, so naturally I wouldn't exactly know which are abandoned and not. For all I know, all of the FOBs that appear on the iDroid on all tabs are possibly all online users.

Press G on your keyboard to pull up the steam profile of your target, if they don't have MSGV on their recently played list, then their FOB is definitely abandoned.

Strange..I'm just wondering how that works. But do Event FOBs count?

Only for the initial run, containers do not spawn after clearing an event FOB

I wouldn't say only for the initial run. Rather it's the Initial set of containers. They can be gotten throughout multiple runs.

Good! I'll be farming the Event FOB then. Or other FOBs and try to not die or get caught.
