How many hours
I'm interested in buying this game but I don't want to spend too much time on it. Is it possible to finish the campaign in 20 hours?

So... because he likes fighting games he can't play something else? I've put probably 900 hours into Capcom vs SNK 2 alone, much less all the other fighters I've played over the years.

Edit: More on topic, beating the campaign in 20 hours on your first playthrough would be... impressive. It's far longer than that in most cases.

If you are good at stealth, rush the game and skip all cutscenes, maaaaybe you could finish it in 20 hours.

Pfft, no.

I just enjoy fighting games. Particularly in the arcade. Shame they're all dying anywhere outside Japan.

The game (goes for other games of this franchise) is too good to be played just for 20 hours. Like solid said, don't even start with playing the game if you only wanna rush the story.

Only 20 hours? Go play something else.

You can beat the whole game in a day, provided you know how. Issue with that is you would only know that information if you played it before.
You could actually speedrun the game within 4 hours.

Speedruns require practice. Getting sub 4 would take more than 20 hours of game time.

Please don't use speedruns as an example of how long games are.

♥♥♥♥, there's an Ocarina of Time route that's under 20 minutes.

Speedruns are a TERRIBLE example to give for how long games are.

200 hours is a more accurate time of how much there is to do in the game.

You have to take into account things like side missions and optional content also... the game goes on nearly forever at that point.

Reality is 60-100 hrs for purely the storyline. Even skipping cutscenes you couldn't do it in 20 hrs.

I've never been fond of a game that the play time is over in under 5 minutes. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc. I bought them for the kids back in the N64 days and played them with the kids, but wasn't really my cup of tea. Even back in the old school PC days I played games like the Kings Quest series and the Zork series. The longer they could last the better they were. 5 min games, in my book, are meant for sitting in the doctor's office waiting room just to kill the boredom of waiting.

I have no issue with them dying out. There are enough 5 min phone games to kill the boredom at the doctor's office.

Games like street fighter and mortal kombat aren't designed around the part you can beat in a few minutes. They're the way they are for multiplayer.

Also, the world record for phantom pain is under 2 1/2 hours. Iirc that catagory is only for the first ending, not the truth ending.
