Edit: More on topic, beating the campaign in 20 hours on your first playthrough would be... impressive. It's far longer than that in most cases.
I just enjoy fighting games. Particularly in the arcade. Shame they're all dying anywhere outside Japan.
Pls tell me this is a joke.
Please don't use speedruns as an example of how long games are.
♥♥♥♥, there's an Ocarina of Time route that's under 20 minutes.
Speedruns are a TERRIBLE example to give for how long games are.
I've never been fond of a game that the play time is over in under 5 minutes. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc. I bought them for the kids back in the N64 days and played them with the kids, but wasn't really my cup of tea. Even back in the old school PC days I played games like the Kings Quest series and the Zork series. The longer they could last the better they were. 5 min games, in my book, are meant for sitting in the doctor's office waiting room just to kill the boredom of waiting.
I have no issue with them dying out. There are enough 5 min phone games to kill the boredom at the doctor's office.
Also, the world record for phantom pain is under 2 1/2 hours. Iirc that catagory is only for the first ending, not the truth ending.
