Can I start a new game without losing my old save games?

I would like to start over since I left MGS V for about 2 years now. I'm still a huge fan of MGS and I will not let MGS V ruin that experience for me.. I'm giving MGS V a fresh new start.

I think your account may stay the same tho, supply and other else. But what i know that you have to re-create your symbol, name and your avatar again. I not sure about the staff whether they stay the same or have to re-fulton new staff.

yes, make backup of your current save file (2 folders from userdata 287700(The Phantom Pain) and 331340(Ground Zeroes)), then feel free to delete it via game and start from the beginning.
If you decide to play on your old save, just override these 2 folders via copy\paste from your backup

Just create another Stream account then family sharing and you can play MGSV:TPP with pure new game there

What? Now that im willing to give this game a 2nd opinion im getting bashed? For the record i did stated that mgs v is not a great mgs game but a decent game to boot. The problem is mgsv is none like any other mgs games in a bad way

Not really im not a troll as much as the majority of the fans in the mgs community have stated about how mgsv is unfinished, lack luster etc. It's a huge issue that has been going on since release date. I respect your opinion but not all people who disagree with you are trolls. But, it is convenient to say it isn't it...

How about focus on the part when i said "mgsv is a decent game" instead of expecting me to praise mgsv like you do every single day? I once gave mgsv a 7/10 and apparently it's not enough for you fan boys therefore im a troll...

Sure it's annoying to see me constantly replying to the mgs community but i enjoy talking just as much as you like to defend this game every single day like it's a flawless masterpiece.

The main focus of this post is not losing file when starting a new game.. Lets keep it that way ... Trolls...

I never had a ferrari.. I had a maserati and now i have a Porsche.. No alienware computers are not terrible and no im not wasting my precious time tinkering with computer parts when i can make more money in that time.. No just because you can assemble a computer doesnt make you superior

In order to not lose the file when one starts a new game, one must take care of the old file.

In a bad-faith metaphorical context, when you suddenly decide to give the game a second shot and ask the community for advice you're going to have to avoid giving the trolls your time of day. If you do, then that is as much wasted effort as the lost save data. They are interacting with the past, and so are you by interacting with them. They feel that by goading this wasted time out of you they are making some recompense for their own wasted time, despite the fact that this is establishing a double-standard whereby wasted time has some sort of vector implied by personal association.

Geek is right, complaining about the disparity of past reputation is time wasted not building new ones. It's better to file the inane complaints away and look for counterpoints while you're going through the material again, and if their complaints are apropos of nothing then ♥♥♥♥'em.
