LISTENED TO ALL 4 PRISONERS' INTERROGATIONS
I know this mission is bugged but I didn't cause any alerts and listened to all the 4 conversations from firts to last from a respectable distance of 60m. Even then I couldn't get this Side Objective to trigger. After they interrgate the Viscount, the interpretor and the interrgoator part ways and roam around the map and the guard in the Viscount's hut shoots him reulting in automatic mission failure.

You should get the "listen to all 4 interrogations" objective before the guard and interpreter leave the viscount's room after they move him. Best bet is hucking in a sleep grenade as soon as it triggers and sleep all three of them at once.

Problem is I cant get to trigger that particular objective no matter how much I try. I even S ranked it and gave up on getting it :/
I did it earlier this week so it should work. Make sure you hear them and see the dialogue during the interrogations. The first time I tried one of the interrogations didn't show the dialogue for some reason even tho I was clearly within range. I restarted the mission and tried again from the exact same location and it worked...
This mission is AIDS, the amount of updates this game suffered they never fixed this mission which includes the containers glitch as well to this day.
I listened 1st and 2nd/3rd interrogation from 70-90m away, ran to Viscount's location, used binoculars to scan/mark him + his guard, went to dumpster, used Phantom Cigar until Viscount + his guard was near his interrogation area. Went behind that house, used WR Box, after interrogation was over, I ordered D-Dog to wormhole fulton Viscount.

You can also use sleep nade, stun arm, or wait for a while until Interpreter and his buddy aren't close enough and take out guard.
there are bugs with every objective like this. the only 100% way to make sure you get it is to actually SEE them having the convo.
being behind a wall might not work- you have to be able to see their heads (behind should be ok). range shouldnt matter as long as the subtitles still show up.
same goes for TRAITOR'S CARAVAN
For some annoying reason, the range did matter a whole lot in Traitor's Caravan.
Guard/driver would just stand there and pick their noses for about 5 minutes until I got within 50ish metres from the truck.
And nevermind having to do it in broad daylight in the Raiden suit so I could overtake them and tranq all guards that were in my way.

But of course, I still missed the first convo at the airport, waited for a 3rd one after Kiziba, which obviously never happened and failed the mission.
20/10 would alt+F4 the bloody game again.

yea in Traitor's Caravan i kept trying to sneak up from behind the building, but since i couldnt see them, i never got marked for the convo.
i had to go around from the door by the unmanned guard tower, and through the little drainage channel under the fence. its literally the only place you can safely do it and still be able to get out fast enough to make it to their next stop before they do.
also no need to neutralize anyone, just use D-Horse and swing wide around the camps. theres a cliff that overlooks the first guard post, and you can hide behind some small buildings near the generator at kiziba. sometimes a guard will wander too close, but theres a dumpster nearby so its not a big obstacle.
then you rush off to the docks on the other side of the oil plant, take out the guards, and deal with them however you wish. the cliff lets you stay hidden from the skulls, and even lure them away so you can fulton or steal the truck.

Enable subtitles, as long as you can see substitles in all the conversations you need, it will trigger the objective.

I done that mission almost 100M away with the Intel Scope alone, and managed to trigger the objective.

Only the Viscount one I was close by to throw a smoke grenade through the hole in the house.

as for Lingua Franca (the prisoner one), its best if you just forget about trying to save the prisoners- any suspicion or alert at the camp might bug the viscount's conversation, causing them to just stand in the room forever staring at him squirming on the floor. its sad, but letting the three prisoners die is the only surefire way to make it work.

also dont forget they talk to the first prisoner before taking him to the cell with the girl where they talk to him again. its easy to miss that first one, but there are actually 4 separate 'interrogations'.
like with Traitor's Caravan, i recommend using D-Horse for this mission too. you can use Parasite Suit with Mist cartridges to make it easier to get around without being spotted.

as weve said, thats not always enough. ive been RIGHT NEXT TO THEM and had it not trigger, in both Lingua Franca and Traitor's Caravan. its a bug, i think related to how the engine handles sound surfaces. its not directly related to distance, its just if the game thinks you can hear the conversation.

the subtitles play based on range alone, so thats why its not reliable.

It has to do with hearing distance and your distance at all, like I said, I did that mission almost 100M with the Intel Scope like all the others that require you to listen to conversations.

I did let them prisioners die, but replayed the mission anyway to save them all.
I cannot even get to step two: listen INTERROGATIONS of the SECOND and THIRD persons. maybe it's the rain. maybe it's the weather, maybe it's the game, maybe it's the player, maybe it's load order, may that or this... been trying to do this for 5 hours now...

you need to be as close as possible until you see the subtitles of the conversation on screen
i would strongly reccommend stealth camo so no enemies see you and for the last conversation you should be 20 m away and use your binoculars to listen in
i did this and got the task first time

Yeah, you should be getting a completion as soon as the conversation ends. If not go back to the previous checkpoint.
