How can I stop the guards from swearing?

Sometimes the guards utter obscene profanities, which I think is unnecessary and rather unwholesome. Is there any option or mod which can apply a bad language filter, to prevent these unwanted and undesirable rude outbursts from occurring?

I also find it rather upsetting that Konami thinks that this is excusable in a combat action game!

Having been in the military....... Swearing is ingrained into military culture. If you're not cursing or being cursed at then you're in the boy scouts.

Thank you CrackeR, however this doesn't prevent me from hearing nasty swear words. Yes I realise that I could shoot them for it, however I'd prefer to nip it in the bud before the vulgar language is blurted out.

Maybe in the USA, however this game was made in Japan where they have utmost respect and honour for their fellow warrior.

I find it rather upsetting that you find and necessary to throw expletives at me like they are honey biscuits!! I've not seen or experienced any rape or torture in this game, you must have gone really deep into it I think...

It's a shame I feel a mild sense of unpleasant impoliteness towards my character, however I will give you the opportunity to apologise for your lambasting and vituperate language.

I am here to stay, if that unsettles you please try to at least justify your denunciations.

This was uncalled for. In reality, kids play these games too and I can understand the need to a parental filter, which, to the best of my knowledge, the game doesn't have. You obviously don't know who Barti is. He's been around for quite a while under a different name. Longer than I have. It's hardly a troll bait question when essentially all he's asking for is a parental filter. It's quite common you know.

False. If You'd check my post history, you'll see I'm all for parental filters and common respect. But a) not in a game that portrays sh1t kids shouldn't see anyway b) this guy is a lousy troll, nothing else, we had 1 like that before. If it was some newb schmuck than you may be right, but someone pushing 3000 hours in game, 2000 infiltrations, 2400 S++, ESPG rank in the 400 range and this is the first time it's been mentioned.... you begin to look like the one trolling on his thread.

Think about it for a bit. He's got 6 games on Steam. All with less than 100 hours played except this one which is pushing 3000 hours. Do you really think he's intending to be like you have obviously experienced elsewhere?

I think maybe you need to sit down and have a cup of camomile tea, it may help to sooth your frustrations a little!

I'm completely accepable in that you are seething with rage, this is obviously why you play this game and I think it's understandable that you need to give your frustrations a little venting on the forums sometimes.

So I completely forgive you for your misunderstandings and harsh rhetoric, however I feel venerated in that you can express yourself so freely in this manner.

Do take care to stay positive, this is only a game after all. On the other hand, I think it is sad that parental controls can be such a hot and virulent topic, under the undue stresses and emotions which we are all going through right now.

A mod would definitely be possible for removing the mature language/subtitles from the game, but that's a pretty niche request and I don't think there are any modders who would have the time/skill/interest to make it.

Thank you for your considerate words and I'm grateful we have resolved everything now. I'm more of a big (moderate) man with a small dictionary, but I won't digress into further dissensions.
